Make yourself at home in our comfy-cozy getaway. It is an ideal home-base for exploring and enjoying the varied activities this corner of the central coast region has to offer. Enjoy a morning cup o’ Joe on the front porch or back yard while planning your day’s exploits. The chefs among you can whip up a snack or a gourmet meal in the fully equipped kitchen, as guests kibitz and sip wine at the counter and adjoining dining room. The dining room table seats six with a leaf expansion to eight. Our secluded outdoor area is right outside the kitchen door and perfect for entertaining while grilling your favorite foods. Enjoy dining outdoors or just relaxing in the quiet and large landscaped backyard. When you have had enough fresh air for the day, unwind in the cozy living room while watching a movie or listening to music. And after you’ve wrung that last bit of fun from the day, the bedrooms beckon, with comfortable queen size beds with 3 inch gel toppers for a perfect night's sleep. The two full bathrooms are each near to a bedroom for convenience and privacy. An added feature is the forced air heater and air conditioner for your comfort when the weather is too toasty or chilly for you. We also have installed a whole house water treatment system.

Why Mike and Maggie Van Dame chose Central Coast California

This property is a classic a Paso Robles charmer and has located us closer to our daughter, son-in-law and new grandson who live in Paso Robles and to our family in the southern half of the state. This is the perfect house for all of us to get together at various times during the year. Our family loves wine and for years we have made wine tasting a family tradition. We have visited all California wine tasting areas and love the central coast area the best.

What makes this house unique

This property caught our eye the minute we saw its sunny exterior. The large covered front porch is a perfect spot to sit and relax in the afternoon. We enjoy watching the deer walk by (please do not approach the deer or feed them). This home makes you feel you are in a rural area when you are in walking distance to downtown. This is also a great location for bicyclists as Pacific Ave turns into Peachy Canyon Rd about 1/4 mile west of the house.

There are several outdoor entertainment areas and patios. The backyard is completely fenced for privacy.

The inside of the home has a unique layout as there is a bedroom and bathroom at each side of the house separated by the living room.

There is on and off street parking along our property line only. Room for 3 cars.

We have also installed a whole house water softening treatment system.

This home is a classic. We love it.

Great house! Clean and comfortable with a large private backyard with BBQ. The perfect place to relax after wine tasting. Everything you need to cook a meal is provided (great rice cooker). We couldn't have had a better time. We can tell the owner's take pride in this property and they treat it like their away from home. We will be back.

We will definitely come back. The house is set up perfectly with the bedrooms and bathrooms on each side of the house. The family room is large with many fun games and good reads. The back courtyard is amazing too. Thanks!

Peaceful, clean, and close to Downtown

The property was very clean and in a quiet location. We stayed 5 nights and traveled daily to and from the Paso Robles Horse Park. The drive to the Horse Park was convenient and took no more than about 10 minutes. The house was well stocked with everything you would need, including lots of towels and extra blankets. The kitchen was also well stocked and there were many spices available for cooking. We cooked most evenings with no problem. Loved the little conveniences this owner thought about such as zip lock bags, plastic silverware, napkins, paper towels, and twinkle lights on the patio. Recycling was available. Would definitely rent this place again!!

Wonderful and cozy home

We had a wonderful stay at your home while in town for my son's wedding in Paso Robles! Your home was so cozy and well furnished. It definitely made my daughter's and I feel at home! The outside patio and back yard were perfect for a nice family dinner, and even though the home was only 2 bedrooms we were quite impressed with how large the home felt! Thanks again for a wonderful vacation and we look forward to staying here again!

The best place I have ever stayed

I cannot thank Mike and Maggie enough for allowing us into their home (for a fee of course).

Of all of the places I have stayed in my sleeping career, this home sits high on the list.

The home was spacious, clean, and awesome. Mike's communication was clear, consistent, and prompt for everything.

I love the loving touches they made (themed decor, extra materials in the cupboards, bbq and table in the back, dvd collection, guestbook, notes from the owners, etc). We contemplated just moving in for good.

I will be sure to book again next time I am town.

Loved it!

Absolutely loved our time in this house - we travelled to Paso for a wedding and this home provided an amazing home base for all our weekend activities up and down the coast. Plenty of room, very clean, and super comfortable. Location is great and having a house to relax in rather than staying in a motel made for a much more enjoyable experience. There is nothing that Mike and Maggie haven't thought of! We're already planning our next trip and can't wait to stay again. Thank you for making our weekend one of the best, ever!

Wine tasting is a favorite pass-time of our family and we never tire of the selection of wineries in the Paso Robles area. We are located on Pacific Ave at the gateway to Peachy Canyon Rd just a short drive to the west side wineries. There are a many other wineries in the Paso Robles area, each offering its own unique wines and amenities.

The California Mid-State Fair is a huge attraction in Paso Robles. The fair dates for next year are July 14 through July 27, 2014. There are plenty of great events and music for all to enjoy. You can take the shuttle to the fair which is in walking distance of Casa Del Sole.

We enjoy Friday night concert in the park downtown while sitting on the grass (bring a blanket). Wine and beer is available for purchase. And if you prefer grab a table at one of the great restaurants with outdoor seating and delight in the perfect meal while listening to music..

We love the outdoors and would like to encourage you to visit Montana De Oro State Park and the state parks of the San Luis Obispo coast. You will find Hearst Castle and many other amazing parks and attractions in this area.

There is so much to enjoy in this area and we will be adding more favorite places in the future.
