The Unique Benefits at this Condo: You'll find that being in Bigwood allows you to be close enough to town, but in a more woodsy and residential neighborhood that is quiet and beautiful. During the winter, areas for snow play are quite close. In the summer, bike paths are close. What is unique about our condo is that it has a more modern feel while still reflecting the mountains and beauty of Mammoth. We've been coming to Mammoth for 18 years and finally bought a place of our own. It's an amazing place, both in winter and summer, and we know you'll have a great time.

Please note that we have a Ring Security Cam outside our front door and NEST Thermostat. So for Winter Guests, I will know when you arrive and will monitor how much energy use through the Nest. We can't afford $600 electric bills for heat so we expect guests to use our wood stove throughout their stay and I may prod you if the NEST shows the heater is cranked way up for a long period of time and will remind you to use the Wood Stove. Penalties apply if the NEST shows heater use for more than 5 hours in a 24 hour period. Please see Rental Contract.

About Kelley Barton

We've been coming to Mammoth for 16 years and finally bought a place of our own. It's an amazing place, both in winter and summer, and we know you'll have a great time.

Kelley Barton purchased this condo in 2010

Why Kelley Barton chose Majestic Pines

This condo does not share any walls with other units, no one above or below. Great views of the pool and jacuzi, short amount of stairs, garage right underneath. That's why we chose it, along with the nice view of the Sherwins and lots of bright sunlight through the windows.

What makes this condo unique

Our condo is a blend of rustic and modern. Its much different from the folksy and cute decor many in Mammoth have.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I would describe this condo as “Rustic Modern.” Its high open-beam ceilings and rough hewn timber beams are offset with new modern furnishings, steel architectural details and up-to-date electronics. The condo has 3 large flat-screen TVs each with their own cable boxes and WiFi, Bring your X-Box or Wi and plug and play. This condo feels more like a home than a condo because it has no adjoining or shared walls with other units and garage parking is directly below the unit. The wood fireplace is extremely efficient and warms the condo wonderfully and quickly along with other mini heaters in each room. The view of surrounding peaks is spectacular and because the complex is heavily wooded you feel like you are in a forest retreat, while being only minutes from downtown Mammoth. This condo is perfect for 2 adults or great for a slumber party of 10. It is extremely close to the Jacuzzi so those late night dashes back to the condo through the snow are quick. The dining room table opens up to fit 4-6 people comfortably and the breakfast bar can hold 3 to 4 people. The kitchen is small yet quite functional with microwave, refrigerator freezer, oven, electric cook-top, dishwasher and garbage disposal. The complex has it’s own bulldozer so plowing the roads and driveways start early so you can get to the slopes at opening. This is a wonderful, functional, comfortable, cozy, and private condo. I highly recommend it!

Great Place To Stay!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I really enjoyed this condo. They did a great job with the decor, it was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with good equipment. We have small children so we cook therefore a kitchen is important to us. We travel to Mammoth at Christmas time and so far this is the best place we have stayed at. The owner is also very helpful. I highly recommend this condo.

Owner's Response: Martha--thank you for the lovely review. My boys grew up going to Mammoth, renting a lot of different condos, so I kept that in mind when setting up our place. I love seeing families use it and enjoy the beauty, winter or summer. Kelley

Perfect for our family!

  • 5 of 5

This condo was very clean, updated, and had any amenity we could possibly think of needing. It's in a great location in Mammoth, as well as within the condo community. Our family had an excellent stay and we will definitely rent here again!

Awesome Place in Mammoth

  • 4 of 5

Super comfortable condo decked out with comfy beds and great towels. Kitchen has everything you need. Loved the keyless entry system and how close the condo was to all the great spots in town and amazing lakes and mountain views. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star was there was no A/C and one of the nights - it was kinda warm. We would totally stay here again when we come back to town.

Perfect Snowboarding Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Kelley's place is perfect on location! It is less then a mile from snowboarding, which we walked in the morning. I was so surprised that we could fit a full size suburban in the garage, which saved us from having to shovel out a car. The condo feels very roomy, and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with everything, and we cooked all breakfasts in the morning, and did one dinner in. Kelley was super helpful with texting us about anything we needed and answering any questions we had. Also was super communicative at everything that it felt very organized, which I loved. Can't wait to come back and rent from them again!

To start Kelley is amazing. She is so helpful in all aspects. The home is so warm and welcoming. There is nothing that they missed. I am a HomeAway customer and have stayed at multiple places and this by far was my favorite. The beds were comfortable and there was more than enough space for my family of five. We enjoyed it so much it was hard to leave.

Mammoth Lakes is a year round playground. Winter skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing and cross country skiing are excellent and Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain. Spring, Summer and Fall explore Lake Mary, Twin Lakes and many more, hiking, back packing, golf, camping excellent places for fly fishing. There are an abundance of mountain biking trails, ranging in skill level. Mammoth Mountain operates a lift that takes you to the summit on your bike for an exhilarating ride down the trails. The town is quaint and nestled in the Sherwin Mountains. Mammoth is a short drive from Yosemite, Mono Lake and the Historic Ghost Town of Bodie. A great place to stay while exploring the Sierra Nevada mountains of California.

Our condo is in Bigwood, which is in a quiet, residential and woodsy neighborhood. You'll feel like you are in the mountains with all the amenities of home, a pool and jacquizi to slip into after a day of outdoor fun. Yet town is close enough for dinner & shopping.

Golf: The Sierra Star Golf Course is the highest course in California at 8,000 feet above sea level, allowing you to add yards to your drive. And with snow-capped peaks in every direction, winding mountain streams, lush wildflowers, fairways lined with Jeffrey pines and towering red firs and the occasional family of deer – you won't find a more stunning?golf course anywhere. 18 hold championship course, Par 70. Open to the public.

Ski: Mammoth Mountain has the most open terrain of any ski/snowboard resort in California and the best Parks for tricks in the world. They have an Olympic size 1/2 pipe, small parks for learning tricks, beginning runs and 150 trails up to 3,100 vertical. Peak elevation is 11,053 with an annual snowfall of 400' or more. Season typically runs from November through June, and occasionally doesn't close until July 5th. Lessons for beginners are excellent. Snow tubing, snowmobile, cross country skiing and snowshoeing also available.
