About Mary Earles

A devoted wife and mother of five, entrepreneur (at heart anyway), small business owner (housekeeping of course!), architect enthusiast, daydreamer - as my seven year old says :)

In a nutshell the reason why I love to share our home with you is because one of my "daydreams" is to own/run a bed and breakfast. So there you have it -

It is a delight to prepare our home for you to create many happy memories!

Mary Earles purchased this house in 2000

Why Mary Earles chose Central Virginia

As a Charlottesville native and currently living in the Stony Point area (20 min N of town) I have to say there is no place like home. I fell in love with this property more than 25 years ago when my parents bought 45 acres and built their dream home. Years later my husband and I were able to build our dream home on the same property. I invite you to come experience the beauty we are blessed with every day!

What makes this house unique

Secluded woods atmosphere - large firepit - trails - pond - river - playroom

So homey and awesome for kids!

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED our time at the house! We had 6 kids with us and they absolutely loved access to all the toys and running around in the woods to the pond and creek. The property is adjacent to a nature preserve so trails were right out the back porch. Awesome and comfortable rooms and bathrooms and a very responsive host! We will stay there next time we visit the area!

Absolutely Perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

There were 14 of us ladies who rented this house for an awesome wine tasting weekend getaway. The house is absolutely beautiful and very well kept. We had everything we needed provided for us and couldn't have asked for anything more. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Mary was fabulous to work with, very accommodating & responsive through the entire process. LOVED IT!!!!!

Such a beautiful house!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there for two nights with 12 adults and 3 children. Everyone absolutely loved it! It is even more beautiful than it looks in the pictures. The area was quiet and tucked away in the woods. The home was clean and so beautifully decorated. And the play room was a huge hit for our kiddos! I would love to go back sometime and stay for a whole week. Thank you Mary! Stay at this place, you won't regret it!

Perfect for family

  • 4 of 5

My family stayed here a few nights over my wedding weekend. We were able to pay extra and use the space for our rehearsal dinner/party Thursday night and it was perfect. The house is absolutely gorgeous and has plenty of space. Huge deck and yard and a fire pit out front. If you have kids in your family, they will absolutely LOVE running around on the property and the amazing kids playroom. Everything was clean and in order and the kitchen had pretty much everything you could ever need :) The only drawback is that the house is out there - like pretty far and secluded. This is great in one sense because you know you won't be bothering/bothered by anyone, but we did have friends getting Ubers to and from the house, which proved to be somewhat challenging, although it all worked out. Also, the GPS doesn't quite get you there, so we put balloons up for our party. Besides, that it is perfect. My family is still talking about how great their stay was!

Beyond my expectations!!!

  • 5 of 5

The title says it all, this home really was perfect! We had a group of 6 couples and everyone easily had their own space. The layout of the home was great for entertaining, the open kitchen and the massive back porch provided plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The house was equipped with anything we could have needed. Everything was so clean it is hard to believe that the home is a permanent residence. There were ample sheets/towels; and with three large bathrooms no one was every waiting on a shower or a place to get ready. Mary was very available when I had questions regarding cab services and we had no problems getting transportation into downtown Charlottesville. This house is perfect for a group that wants their own space! The fire pit was wonderful for the evenings. I really can’t say enough about how perfect the whole experience was, and I would recommend Mary and her home to anyone in the future!

Beautiful spacious house with wonderful accommodations!

  • 5 of 5

The house and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Mary also includes everything you need to make your stay great----from a fully stocked kitchen (including spices, tupperware, drinking thermoses, etc.) to tons of extra towels, to soaps and makeup removers in each bathroom, to charcoal for the barbecue and skewers for smores. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation thanks to Mary!
