We love this house

  • 5 of 5

We came back to this home again after a great experience the first time. The kitchen upgrade is fantastic and I could not ask for more to prepare Christmas dinner for pots, pans and appliances. This feels like our home away from home.

We really appreciate the lack of clutter, attention to details, linens and our kids love the backyard and hot tub that was crystal clean again.

We will be back here on our next ski trip.

Comfortable home with beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

This truly felt like a home away from home while we were in Taos. The living room and master bedroom were comfortable and inviting. (There were only two of us, but with two guest bedrooms and a futon this house could easily sleep 8-10 people.) The patio was huge; the perfect spot to enjoy coffee in the morning, overlooking the gorgeous landscaping in the backyard and the beautiful view of the mountains. The patio also had an outdoor fireplace, which was perfect for the chilly October evenings. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Nice accomodation and great location

  • 4 of 5

At first we thought we had been taken. The door bell was hanging loose by the wires and the curtains looked sad and faded plus we could not find a lock box.

We double checked that we had the correct address and tried again and then we found the lock box in the galvanized watering tank that was the planter.

We walked in and took a sigh of relief. The place was very nice. The curtains we saw by the entry faced south and needed to be closed all the time - thus the faded look from the outside.

The wifi and television system was easy to figure out. The furniture was comfortable. There was no air conditioning, but at night we opened some screened windows and they had fans available in just about every room and it was really comfortable. And oh my, the view from the covered patio was beautiful. And they had a great table out there plus a little sitting area. We spent mornings out there having our breakfast and after hiking and fishing we would take a break and sit out there. It was lovely. The hot tub was nice and in great shape. They could have used a much smaller grill - it was charcoal, but so large that it was ineffective for just a couple people. The beds were very comfortable. They could have had better pillows - king size, flat and hard. But fortunately we drove so we had a couple good pillows with us.

We loved the location as we were mainly hiking and fishing north of Taos - it was easy to get the Rio Grand Gorge, Questa or Red River or the Ski Valley from there.... you didn't have to wind through the heavy traffic in town. Also the laundry facility was very nice. And since we cooked a couple meals a day there -- I will mention that the huge knives they had were veeerrrry dull and there was no small knife - so I ended up buying a set to use that I took home. But they had everything else in the kitchen that you might need and some condiments - so that was great and the kitchen appliances were great. I loved the microwave drawer as I had one in our old house and miss it.

If we came back to Taos we would rent this place again.

Nice Adobe on Blueberry Hill, Good Location for Exploring

  • 4 of 5

House is pretty nice and as pictured. Good location for exploring the area. Check in/out times (5pm and 10am) were a little annoying, especially when greeted with a long list of all the things you are required to clean (like stripping the beds, putting the laundry in the laundry room for them, washing the towels, and washing and putting away all dishes) on the morning before leaving. A little difficult to do all this when you've got a hoard of children with you and are trying to get out at the early check out time of 10am. Just felt like for the price point a standard cleaning service would have been more appropriate. Never had any personal communication with the host. GPS directions don't work to the spot, but the directions you get by email do. The house was clean, well-appointed, and well-located. The hot tub was kept legit hot and well-maintained. It was divine to soak out in it in the mornings especially after the snow had fallen. Would stay again.
