Large 2 Bedroom Stand-Alone Coach Home with Parking and Private Entrance

Brand new luxurious two bedroom executive laneway home, complete with modern furnishings. Has everything you need for a comfortable extended stay in the city and only a 15-20 minute drive away from everything (Downtown Vancouver, Metropolis at Metrotown, North Shore Mountains).

A total of 850 square feet; equipped with state of the art Miele kitchen appliances and everything you need to prepare meals at home, a large living space to entertain and a powder room all on the main floor, two bedrooms with queen sized beds plus a full bath upstairs on the second floor with lots of storage space! In-suite laundry available (2 in 1 LG washer dryer). Watch TV or movies on a 3D HDTV or play games on the Xbox (cable and internet included).

Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown but close enough to get you down there in less than 20 minutes (8km). Need to get downtown but don't want to pay for parking? No problem! The closest SkyTrain station is a short 10-minute walk and will get you into the Downtown core in 15 minutes. We are ideally located close to the TransCanada Highway (1.5km), safely nestled into the quiet and beautiful Renfrew Heights neighbourhood.

Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home. I would highly recommend this property. It is perfectly located in a quiet safe neighborhood just outside the city. Everything was very close. The house was in immaculate condition and very comfortable. Great place to stay and we enjoyed our vacation in Vancouver. It was great!

Alan and Ivonne, your home is modern and beautiful and there was everything we needed and everything was high quality. Thank you we could stay there. It was really the right place for us: very quiet so we could sleep well and could the next day go to the new adventures.The days in Vancouver were all we wanted.

Beautiful, Abundantly Appointed Laneway Coach Home

We stayed at Alan and Ivonne's Laneway Coach Home inVancouver - The Makena - for the better part of a week while we acclimated our 18 year old to Vancouver and got her settled at UBC. We couldn't have had a more serene, beautiful place to call "home" during this exciting, but emotional transition. The house was extremely clean and comfortable, with every creature comfort one could wish. There were plenty of cooking supplies, cutlery, plates, glasses, along with cooking basics, coffee maker (and coffee!), etc. The common living space had a beautiful flat screen tv with cable, wonderful assortment of board games, etc. The beds upstairs were extremely comfortable and supplied with plenty of pillows, and the rooms were airy and fresh. One of the most notable and very thoughtful efforts of our hosts was the presence of was quite hot in Vancouver when we were there, and we arrived to a house filled with fans - one in the living room, one in each bedroom and one in the hall. We were able to use these to effectively cool the house, making our stay that much more comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and there are shops and restaurants a few blocks away. It was hard to pack up when it was time to leave! We would recommend The Makena whole-heartedly, and look forward to returning ourselves!

Great find!

We recently stayed at this rental with our 2 young children (2 and 4). It was a great place for all as there are 2 clean bedrooms and the rooms being upstairs means parents can have some quiet time after they are in bed. The check in process was really easy and communication with the owners was fantastic. The parking spot, as other say was tight (we have an RDX), but we were able to use it and it was nice to have! We own and stay in vacation rentals everywhere we go, and overall, this was an excellent place to be. We look forward to coming back!

We are located 10 minutes from Metrotown, British Columbia's largest shopping centre with over 400 stores and services, including a SilverCity movie theatre.

Five (5) minutes away is Burnaby's Central Park, a 90-hectare urban park known for its excellent sports and recreation facilities including: tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, horseshoe pitch and a pitch-and-putt golf course. Anchoring the park is Swangard Stadium, host facility for many sporting, cultural, corporate and fundraising events.

Only 10 minutes away from the Fair at the PNE (Pacific National Exhibition), the longest running and best attended annual ticketed event in BC and the site of hundreds of famous events. Open every summer.

20 minutes to Downtown Vancouver - just far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to be right in the heart of the city in less than half an hour

The famous Richmond Night Market is only 20 minutes away (near the Vancouver International Airport), open May through October. Serving up Vancouver's best Asian cuisine, merchandise and entertainment.

Looking to hike in the summer or ski in the winter? Grouse Mountain (most popular for its Grouse Grind hiking trail) is only a short 25 minute car ride. Also open for skiing and snowboarding in the winter. A little further will take you to Cypress Mountain, where the first Canadian Olympic Gold Medal was won at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

You can also get to Whistler Blackcomb, North America's #1 Ski Resort in an hour and a half. Whistler Blackcomb is a four season resort with a world-renowned Mountain Bike Park and a 22-feet Olympic-sized halfpipe, and five Terrain Parks. The mountains play host to countless festivals and events each year including the legendary TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival each April, and Kokanee Crankworx Mountain Bike Festival each August. Whistler Blackcomb played host to the world as the official alpine skiing venue for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
