Wise old owl cabin is located in the wooded hills of Southern Indiana bordering the Hoosier National Forest near Patoka Lake and French Lick. Offering acres of property affording visitors the chance to fish, boat, ski, golf, hike, explore caves, shop or just plain relax and enjoy the quiet. Perfect for 2 or a Family Reunion of 20 people. This wooded Cedar cabin has central air, very large front and back porches, BBQ grill, wonderful outdoor fire pit, Hot Tub. Plenty of parking! Buffalo rug, moose antlers, cedar smell--it has it all! Barn Event Space is also available for a small additional cost. However, our cabin is NOT an alcohol party place--it is family oriented. (Baby Crib avail $20 one time extra charge)
Area attractions are plentiful, but the peace and quiet on the front porch is worth staying in. Sit and pick a tune on the guitar or sing to your heart's desire, this cabin located in a wooded hollow that will bounce it back to you! For those who just can't let go-- A strong VERIZON 4G CELL phone signal inside the cabin. Free WIFI . Security Alarm system w/ motion sensor. Oh yes, dishwasher, w/d, no sweat! Once you've experienced this get-away, you'll want to come back again and again----a truly one of a kind wonderful wooded hills cabin that borders Hoosier National Forest whose owners are lovingly sharing their experience with you.
Family Reunions or Church Groups : This is a great place for reuniting loved ones or spiritually retreating for groups. Call us for recommendations from groups that have already stayed here. All cedar cabin has great acoustics for musical retreats and lots of room in the Barn Event Space. (additional cost) We will work with your group!

Polar Express Train is just 12 miles from cabin. Snow ski Paoli Peaks, Water ski Patoka Lake, go Caving at Marengo Cave, Indoor water park (Big Splash) at French Lick, Holiday World, Casino at French Lick, Indoor Karting is a 'Hoot' if you've never done that, located in West Baden. The Patoka Lake State Park has magnificent biking trails, an archery range, a very nice beach with volleyball wonderful visitors center with activities weekly. Terrific restaurants of all types in the area. Just give us, the owners a call if we can assist you in planning your activities---we'll be glad to help!

Very beautiful and clean! Fun games for kids to play, country life and fire pit. Great place for re!

We were very busy and enjoyed luxury close to French licks splash house adventure and Wilstem wildlife park! Debbi’s was wonderful and accompanied our needs! The smell of wood from which the home is made is so satisfying! So beautiful and peaceful!

Beautiful cabin in a private beautiful setting.

The Wise Old Owl comes with lots of charm and comfy beds. The awesome log cabin has a nice big front porch, absolutely an ideal settling to enjoy your morning coffee. My parents along with three of my adult siblings and three in-laws (9 total) all fit around the kitchen table and had plenty of room to thoroughly enjoy the tastefully decorated cabin. A bunch of us enjoyed a nice long walk on the gravel road. My parents really appreciated using the nice walking sticks, that were left on the sid of the cabin. If ever we return to this area, we would definitely stay here again.

Amazing!!

Have you ever traveled and forgotten those few small things?? Well this place has you covered!! They have anything and everything you may need to have a great stay. The cabin itself is gorgeous! Set back in the woods with small streams that are so peaceful to listen to. I highly recommend this for a family get away. An adult getaway. It would be great for anything. Plus great communication from the owners and house keeper. Added bonus…the house keeper left fresh baked bread and farm eggs. Such a nice touch. A plus in our books!
