Why Owner- Steven Martin chose Emiliano Zapata

I had been looking for a location for eventual retirement somewhere in the US or Mexico. I decided on Puerto Vallarta due to the amazing climate almost year round. Once I set foot into Molino de Agua, I knew this was the place for me.

What makes this condo unique

The fact that the suite is 3,200 square feet all on one floor and the complex is on flat land was a huge benefit for my eventual retirement. I didn't want to be climbing stairs when I get into my 70's and 80's. The fact that we are right in town and can walk to just about everything was great. I didn't want to be stuck in the hillside and feeling trapped. Yes, they have great views up there, but not so easy when you just want to grab a cup of coffee and be social.

Excellent location, excellent property, excellent management

This condo has it all....centrally located to food, nightlife and services, few steps to the beach, largest heated pool we have encountered with expansive lawn area to relax in the sun or shade (I recommend the hammock for an afternoon). The entire complex is immaculate and secure along with the well appointed and spotless unit with a great kitchen to cook-in (or a chef) that has everything you will need to enjoy your stay. The property management team that Steve has on-board was top-notch.

Joel and Angel were very helpful. We enjoyed the condo. We cooked everyday and the kitchen was well equipped. The pool view was beautiful.

Beautiful well-appointed, perfectly situated condo

I’m the kind of person that painstakingly evaluates every possible option in my vacation travels and while I’m value-minded, I’m likely to go for something nicer than save a dollar. This is the third time I’ve stayed in the beautiful Molino De Agua, and this well-appointed condo was a real treat.

Molino De Agua is a gated bit of paradise, located at the crossroads of the old romantic area, and the bustle of the Malecon. It’s central to so much in Puerto Vallarta, but tucked away enough to offer a quiet respite from the day’s activities. It’s very safe, with many caretakers around the clock performing the day’s cleaning, monitoring, gardening, watering, etc. duties that keep the grounds beautiful (and adding to a feeling of safety).

Steve and Peter have a beautiful home in this complex, and out of the three I’ve stayed in, theirs was the most refined and ready to host. When I first walked in, I was swept away by the green trees and more rural / jungle feeling the place offered. I was a little worried that noises from the pool would float up, but the place is very quiet, except for the sounds of the ocean you can hear in the distance….especially at night.

This is a large place. There were five of us staying in the unit at the same time, and there was plenty of room to roam without feeling like we were on top of each other (though at 3200 square feet, we probably could have added even more and it would still feel spacious). Despite the wonderful choices of restaurants nearby, we like to cook, so it was a treat to have a kitchen so well appointed with utensils, pots, pans, spices, and a sundry of other must-haves for a chef.

Most days, we would saunter between the pool and the condo, it was an easy place to want to stay in all day. The pool is amazing, and deserves its own review. We hope we have the good fortune to go back there again one day!

Fabulous! Let luxury lure you to this location

We had a marvellous time staying in this spacious, luxurious condo filled with contemporary art. The owners Steve & Peter are gracious, attentive, kind and fun - they make good friends and neighbours too! The condo is immaculate, stocked with every amenity you could possibly need, the location is tremendous, the heated pool & swim up bar are never crowded and the staff are super helpful and friendly. It is steps to the ocean, restaurants, shopping, galleries and nightlife. Great for families, friends and couples. At the end of the day, you can sit on the condo patio and watch the sunset and then retire to the sound of the waves. I give a 5-star rating and we are looking forward to our next trip already!!

"Wonderful and spectacular" don't say enough!

I rent Steven & Peter's condo for a month, hoping to have family and friends come for a week or so each and to have a few days of solitude for myself. Unfortunately I got quite ill before I could go and eventually only got 3 days there. Steve and Peter were incredibly understanding and patient - they went the extra mile to ensure that everyone was taken care of and comfortable in my absence. Their attention to deal is lovely - all the basic condiments are there - and more, the knives are sharp and plentiful, and the art in the condo is a treat to behold (I use to own an art gallery). The feel of the condo is very tropical and the pool is one of the best I have ever paddled about in - swimming quietly under the moonlight at 2:30 am is something not to be missed. I was lucky to be able to spend a little time with the owners and they are two of the most gregarious guys around and they have a passion for living. Definitely a 5 star plus experience - muchas gracias. Lastly - the location is fabulous - right next to the ocean and the little river with a myriad of restaurants, cabarets, galleries and other attractions - and the public market in the park on Saturdays is the best. Everyone who came down as my guests have told me that the only thing that was lacking to make the trip perfect was me.

Perfect location for anyone wanting a treat!

Having stayed at Molina de Agua a few times I am always left with an impression of "just a little more than expected" . Both my husband and I have travelled to Mexico several times and myself over 40 times so I've seen the good, the divine and the funky that parts of Mexico can offer. Molino de Agua is a relatively new building right on the Rio Cuale (hope I spelled that right) which means it is in a great area for both walking to almost all points of interest both downtown and the Romantica Zone (the old, charming part). Most of our favourite restaurants and our friends cabaret, shopping, beaches, farmers market on Saturday are all very close.The building is always kept immaculately clean and the features are lovely. Our unit was like most of the three bedroom units very large with almost too much space to roam around in for one couple...but we managed! Very well appointed for those who like to cook in and entertain on the large balconies which in this unit being on the floor basically 2nd floor right by the pool made it super easy access to the pool and laying on the patio felt like being right at the very large and beautiful pool but with more privacy. This particular unit has very nice furnishings and some lovely artwork all strategically placed in their proper places so it is definitely more upscale than a traditional Mexican décor flavour. Beds were very comfortable and towels/linens were plentiful. Having a full size washer and dryer meant not having to lug a huge suitcase down south. (trust me.....this is great!) Security in the complex is very good. A great place for two or three couples to rent or treat yourself to a bit of glam in the sun....why not?!

This amazing complex sits on Los Muertos beach in Old Town Puerto Vallarta in the area of Romantic Zone. It is so close to shopping, restaurants and nightlife activities that you will never need a car. The 'Malecon' boardwalk is directly in front of the complex and is great for leisurely walks or really good power walking first thing in the morning. Even though our kitchen is completely equipped, don't forget to try out the abundance of incredible restaurants with world renowned chefs. The cuisine in Puerto Vallarta is very international, so you can get a lot more than just burritos! The residents and staff of our complex are very friendly, so if you need help in finding something, just ask.
