There is nothing better than to experience all of the fun and festivities of downtown Hendersonville.
Across from the historic Henderson County Courthouse and front and center for all of the wonderful festivals and parades.
I recently visited Hendersonville for a long weekend. First impressions of the property were very positive. Location is great and the property itself is very nice. The problems arose when dealing with the human element.
I understand the kitchen isn't expected to be fully stocked, but a roll of paper towels would have been nice. Additionally there was no extra toilet tissue. I set of travel sized toiletries for the shower would have been very much appreciated as well as there was none of that either.
The real issue occurred Saturday evening when I returned to the property and discovered the air conditioning had stopped working and it was 80 degrees inside. This was discovered around 5 in the afternoon and after making multiple calls to the property manager, I called the maintenance number and was told that per the property managers instructions, the air conditioner going out was not considered an emergency and they would not be sending anyone to repair it. The best they could do was submit a work order to the property manager. I asked if I could have a contact number for the property manger and was told they could not provide me with any information. What? I was paying for this place.
The property manager did finally return my call and was pleasant and promised the issue would be resolved. It never was. I sent another message to the property manager at 12:45 in the morning stating no one contacted me to repair the air conditioner and never heard back from her. I relied on relatives to bring over fans for the evening.
I don't understand how you don't immediately assist a paying customer when they report the air conditioning has stopped working in the middle of summer. It's essentially like a hotel quest saying the ac has gone out and the front desk saying they will get around to it when they feel like it.
This incident completely spoiled an otherwise nice vacation. The most troubling part is no one has contacted me to offer a refund, voucher or even an apology. I didn't want to write this review but the fact that I have not heard from anyone shows they have zero respect for their customers.
We really enjoyed the downtown Daisy on main street in Hendersonville. It was so much fun to be in the center of the action with activities and restaurants galore. We watched from our window as they set up for the Memorial Day weekend garden and outdoor festival. The currently remodeled historic condo was very comfortable with easy access to everything - mountains, Asheville, etc.
Property was just as described with everything we needed for our stay. We unknowingly arrived the night before the Garden Jubilee came to Main Street, which made it even more exciting to stay right on Main Street. We watched a pile of dirt turn into a very pretty water feature. The owners were very nice and accommodating. This was our first time trying someplace new in Hendersonville and it was a wonderful experience. Restaurants and the world's greatest bakery within easy walking distance. I would recommend Downtown Daisy.
Great location and perfect amenities. Enjoyed, literally, stepping out onto Main Street for dining and shopping.
Wonderful, clean and bright. QUIET was appreciated.
Let me tell you some concerns first.
NOT handicap accessible. If you can climb stairs its a steep climb with one hand rail.
Cable is low level basic and the picture is of analog quality. The bedroom TV is so tiny it wasnt worth turning it on. Being able to watch a movie in bed would have been nice.
The washer had a crack in the door, but management handled it quickly.
Parking was a task. Never during the day could you find a space out front where the only door is. You must either be dropped off, or go around and play parking lot roulette with the other tenants. You have an assigned space which is normally either taken or you get blocked in. you cannot see your car from any window if you use the approved space. This could be marked better. You also must carry the trash out the front, and around the back to the bucket.
Clean, bright with a working kitchen. Loved being able to cook my own food. Eat out is now as a treat but special diets mean we eat our own food 99% of the time.
one set of sheets. They were clean and ok quality, but a 2nd pair would have been nice.
The towels were fluffy and soft but starting to show their wear.
One roll of paper towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper for the whole place. We bought more.
We replaced the missing cork screw.
Plenty of storage in dresser or the closet. Several hangers were broken or warped. We brought our own huggables that are cheap and cheerful.
The place was easy to keep clean.
Being able to open windows was a treat.
Shopping very close or a tiny walk. Green works coffee was far better than Bear works. Also you could get a full home made breakfast.
The downtown area is full of stuff to do. From antique fairs to the farmers market one street over.
Dont forget to cruise the side streets.
Several places deliver food. Ask for the menus.
We found fun and friendly people on every corner.
There is a Hendersonville tour available at the chamber of commerce. Take it!
This apartment is great if you dont want to use your car. its all right here.
There were plenty of seats even when we added more company.
Ice maker made more than enough to fill the cooler.
We did not use the pull out couch, so we dont know.
I would not hesitate to book this place again and again. I can promise we will be back and if we cant stay there, we know they have cottages to choose from.
Thank you for a peaceful week. We needed that.
This condo is in a perfect location to enjoy downtown Hendersonville. Restaurants, retail shopping & even a Fresh Market are within easy walking distance. The on-line pictures are very accurate. The condo is cute, tastefully decorated, lots of space and very clean. There is a nice box seat window in the living room to sit & enjoy watching what's happening on Main St! I would definitely rent again!
