No Games in the "game room"

  • 2 of 5

We booked this property based mainly on the fact that it had a hot tub and "game room." Our family (including two children) were very disappointed with the state of the converted garage to a game room. The air hockey table was broken as well as two sleds and there were no other games in sight. In fact, as we were leaving, someone arrived to haul the air hockey table away. The beds and facilities were sufficient, but the "extras" we were expecting were not there. Many things were broken, couch recliner, shovel to clear the walk way, dishwasher, etc. Carpets were pretty bad and we didn't not want to walk around without shoes off. Rather disappointed.

worse cabin

  • 1 of 5

I don't know where to start, I stayed at big bear many many times and I had no complaints about any of the cabins, if it's your first time renting a cabin in big bear than this place is good for you, because you don't know any better, this cabin had nothing to offer I mean NOTHING, had no soap, no paper towel a vacuum that didn't work, no dust pan no extra blanket, no irion I can go on and on....and the heater in the master bedroom did not work, so my stay at this place was the worse cabin i've ever stayed in my life, carpets in the bedroom was sooooo dirty that i did not want to walk even with my socks on, so if i were you i would never stay at this cabin, and if you do for whatever reason take as much as you can with you they don't have anything i had to go and buy it even dish soap. If you are reading this do yourself a favor look somewhere else because trust me you will regret.

Owner's Response: Thank you for writing a review. I would like to use this opportunity to be informative for the reader. At the moment you book we email a VERY informative document that educates the incoming Guest on what to expect. I will quote a few important lines below: The home WILL BE EQUIPPED with clean linens, bathroom towels, basic pots/pans, dish-ware and a STARTER AMOUNT of dish soap, toilet paper and trash bags. The home WILL NOT BE EQUIPPED with Air Conditioning, paper towels, coffee filters, specialty kitchen items, salt and pepper (or any food, condiment, or beverage), bathroom soaps or lotions, hair dryer, beach towels or spa towels, charcoal, Pay-Per-View access or firewood. Our homes are equipped with the basic per our contract. Regarding the the state of the floors I offer up no excuse and hope the reviewer did fill out a Guest Stay Concern form upon departure. When things go wrong we do our very best to make it right. We do care and all our Guests are very important to us.
