Peaceful, clean, modern and private.

  • 5 of 5

The house is exactly as stated. Spacious, clean modern. Beautiful peaceful area. Plenty of room to park vehicles and atv's. Dave was easy to work with. He stopped by the first day with a truck full of firewood and had propane delivered to make sure we did not run out for the grill. Comfortable beds with high end sheets. We would def. recommend Camp David. It is also in great proximity to the local stores and restaurants.

The perfect place to stay in Pittsburg!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 2nd stay this winter at Camp David and we cannot say enough good things about BOTH experiences. The home itself is beautiful and the views are top rate! Super close proximity to Lake Francis with direct access to snowmobile trails that don't require crossing the lake. There is also plenty of parking for multiple vehicles and trailers. We all loved looking out over the lake through the huge windows at all hours of the day and seeing so many deer! The décor and furniture are beautiful and the amount of kitchen gadgets, appliances, cookware and overall supplies make for a very hassle-free and relaxing stay. The owner, Dave, is a pleasure to deal with and he's always available to answer any and all questions prior to and during the stay. My husband and I stayed 4 nights on our own over Christmas weekend and then we just stayed another 4 nights this past weekend with 2 additional couples and every one of us loved our stay! So much so, actually, that we've all decided to reserve a week at the end of June so that we can go back and enjoy the warmer weather along with some fishing, boating, camp fires, grilling and most importantly to sit out and relax and take in the amazing views from that gorgeous wrap around deck!! I'm pretty sure we'll be repeat renters at Camp David for years to come!

A Breath of Fresh Air

  • 5 of 5

We have been coming to Pittsburg to snowmobile for a few years now and have always rented a cabin at The Glen (which I find equally as hospitable), however this time around we wanted to try something different and thought how nice it would be to park both the truck and trailer near the house, and to have space to "stretch our legs and collect all our riding gear". This home offered trail access without having to cross the lake on sled. We walked in on Monday afternoon and were simply blown away. First of all, the cleanliness of this home is IMPECCABLE! It is tastefully decorated without being to "cabin" or country-like". I LOVE the massive amount of windows and sunlight. As a knitter, I fell in love with the natural lighting while sitting on the couch in the afternoons watching the visiting deer. The kitchen was well stocked, and the house so easy to navigate. It was said in other reviews, but I instantly felt "at home" while here - the home has a way of welcoming you. The beds were very very comfortable and kudos to Dave for not cheaping out on the sheets. The bedding was very pretty and made you want to settle into them. I can't say enough about the traveling deer in front of the property. I know there is a photo of them on this advertisement, but it does not do their presence justice. They were so sweet to watch. We have booked a follow up trip here in the warmer months and cannot wait to return and truly enjoy that HUGE wrap around deck. I will echo other reviews by saying that Dave was a pleasure to work with, responsive and helpful. We are lucky a rental property of this caliber exists in Pittsburg. It offers the best of both worlds: quaint and naturesque with all the amenities of home if you would like (Satellite radio and tv, and wifi).

Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This place was fantastic/spotless inside and out. From enjoying a few drinks on the beautiful and spacious deck overlooking the lake to having campfires on cool and crisp New Hampshire nights, we truly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thanks Dave for your great hospitality and we look forward to coming back again some day.

Overall ten

  • 5 of 5

I organize an annual fishing trip to Pittsburg every year for a group of ten guys. We've stayed at all the larger cabins owned or managed by Tall Timbers and Lopstick. This cabin exceeded every expectation. Excellent view of Francis, good parking, plenty of beds, laundry and outdoor outlets/water. The cabin is actually stocked as if it's a corporate rental with every type of cooking appliance, flatware, coffee filters, hair dryer etc.... I almost wanted to write a negative review to assure an open reservation range for next year, but decided to be honest. Dave was great to work with, he runs this place like an inn or a bed and breakfast minus the breakfast. Overall, I believe this cabin sets a new standard for Pittsburg rentals. On a scale from one to ten, Camp David gets a solid ten. Thanks Dave.
