Perfect for our extended family vacation

We stayed here for the purpose of going to Mammoth Caves.

We had 4 different families with a total of 13 people. Everyone had a bed to sleep in. There was a master suite in a loft upstairs with a queen bed, 2 bedrooms with a queen bed each and a shared bathroom on the main floor and then in the basement was a room that had a queen bed as well as the washer and dryer and a bunk room with 2 bunk beds (twin over twin and twin over double). The beds were very comfortable.

The house was very clean and had everything we neeeded to make our stay comfortable.

Greg was very easy to work with.

I would definitely stay here again.

We made some memories

It was a nice stay. The property is well equipped. Bring your own soap. Beautiful view in the morning during coffee. Four wheel drive or front-wheel drive is a must .Enjoy your stay.

Fun place to stay!

Beautiful wood floors, walls, ceiling. Nice location in the country with a fire pit. Lots of sleeping space.

There were a couple of things to improve: provide some bars of soap or inform us to bring our own. The other thing is that the grill is a disaster! It was filthy, full or rust and the two burners on the left side that I tried to use were both shot.

Large cabin with a homey feel

We had 9 woman for the weekend staying in the cabin. Plenty of beds and sleeping spaces. 3 queens, 4 bunk beds one is large, foutons and couches. The house is stocked well, not only in the kitchen, but towels blankets, and cleaning products and household needs. The home is full of games and musical instruments, a home speaker system (which we couldn't figure out but I bet works). The hot tub was great. The house was clean and welcoming! The grill on the deck was great for burgers, although a little dirty.

Some down sides, we couldn't get to the water from the house. Maybe we just couldn't find it but we saw the dock (which you cannot use) and then one other area that would have been difficult to get to the water to float around. The driveway is an incline, 4 wheel only so it could be a hard/impossible walk for elderly or disabled people. And you do need to take the trash up to the hill (not really a big deal but worth mentioning). We also could not figure the outside lights on the upper porch, could simply be burnt light bulbs.

Things we had question about that we found the answers to...

The coffee pot is a regular one, and the home has plenty of filters.

Trash bags were provided.

We have shared the rental with friends and hope to come back again when we have a boat on the lake! Thanks Greg for all of your help we enjoyed the home!

Great get-away

If you plan ahead and buy your groceries on the way to Bee Spring, this house is perfect for a family getaway to caves and canoes. Clean, spacious, thoughtful (, musical instruments, games, DVDs and Wii). Lots of pillows and blankets. Beautiful backyard with access to the lake. Just be prepared to drive a LONG way to get food, gas, etc. The driveway is rather challenging, as well, so if someone has difficulty walking or balancing, this will be an issue. Great for families (the kids loved sharing the bunkbed room). No cell service - but wifi worked great.
