The apartment is on the top two floors in a new building on Laugavegur, the main shopping street. The apartment is 75 m2 or 800 sq ft in size. Downstairs is a bathroom with a bathtub and shower, kitchen, a living-room with a 3-seat sofa, large TV and and a large window facing south towards Hallgrimskirkja. The bedroom is upstairs along with a balcony providing excellent view to the south over the city centre (see photo on top of the page).
The apartment sleeps 2-4 people. It is fully furnished with all utilities, such as refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, dish-washer, tableware for 6 persons, bathtub/shower, washing machine/dryer, 37' flat-screen TV, DVD player, Apple TV, mobile phone with a local number, mobile WiFi hotspot, high-speed wireless internet connection, baby cot and a Bo-Concept double bed with a visco-elastic foam mattress (similar to Tempur-Pedic). There is an elevator up to the 4th floor and then a staircase inside the apartment between the two floors. A parking space in a closed garage within the building can be provided at only EUR20 per day.
My name is Jon and i have been living in Reykjavik for over 20 years. Before that i lived in my old hometown of Akranes. I studied Computer Sciences at the University of Iceland and later did an MBA program at Reykjavik University. I currently work for the city of Reykjavik as Director of IT. I have rented this property to travellers since 2008 with great success. I live in the same building which allows me to respond quickly to any request my guests may have.

This is a unique property and one of the few modern buildings in the central part of town. The location is ideal with all sights and attractions in the centre within walking distance and yet the area is relatively quiet.
Some of the unique benefits of this property include the spectacular view from the top floor in all directions. My guests are provided with a mobile phone with a local number as well as mobile WiFi hotspot which allows you to share your digital memories instantly, wherever you are. A private in-house parking space can be reserved during your stay. The apartment is equipped with an Apple TV, JBL Extreme Bluetooth Speaker, exceptionally large bath-tub and other amenities, all aimed at making your stay as convenient as possible.
The apt is super clean and has everything one could need (and more). The neighborhood is lively but not noisy, with bars, shops, restaurants, cafes. Market right outside the door, and easy walk to bus stop 7. Owner is very accommodating and responsive.

My husband and I really enjoyed the proximity to the downtown area. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants to select from within walking distance as well as grocery stores. The owner of the property lent us a hotspot during our stay which was invaluable without it we would like of been lost. Reykjavík was a wonderful city in a wonderful country and staying in this property made the whole experience more comfortable.
Modern, clean, secure, quiet, fully equipped apartment with stunning views, centrally located near to all the city’s great restaurants, stores, and attractions. We walked everywhere! Grocery store next door. Best coffee in Reykjavik a few steps away. Multiple bus stops nearby for easy access to Golden Circle and Northern Lights Tours. Temperature control, lighting, Wi-Fi, ventilation, hot and cold water in the apartment all excellent. All appliances, including dish washer and clothes washer, worked well. Our host was exceptionally gracious and communicative, and eager to meet all our information needs.
This condo/apartment exceeded our expectations. It is located in the center of Reykjavik's busy center, close to shops, restaurants, pubs and museums, but it is surprisingly quiet. The high balcony provides a great view of Hallgrímskirkja church and the street below. The host Jon was very helpful, and always returned our emails right away when booking the condo. A ot of nice extras - mobile phone for local calls, mobile hot spot, a fully stocked kitchen. We can't wait to return!
This condo apartment exceeded our expectations. Right in the middle of the town center, making it convenient to shops, restaurants, museums, but surprisingly quiet and private. The apartment was clean and spacious. The high balcony provided great views of Hallgrímskirkja church and of the street below. Host Jon was very helpful and answered emails immediately. A lot of extras - hot spot you can take with you as you travel around town, phone for local calls, fully stocked kitchen, TV with many channels. Hope to stay here again soon!
The location is ideal, with all the main restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, museums and other attractions of the city centre within a few minutes walking distance. Yet, the area is free from disturbance associated with the famous reykjavik night-life.
The main landmark hallgrimskirkja is within 5 minutes walking distance. Both the main bus terminal hlemmur and the main square lækjartorg are within 10 minutes walking distance in each direction.
