Unique Layout Equivalent To Spacious 2-Br And Sleeps To 7 People
My name is Narciso 'Narci' Tavas. I am a retired electrical engineer who came to the United States from the Philippines thru employment with a global CPG firm with whom I had a long career. I greatly enjoyed the travels that came with my employment. I had memorable stays in Europe, particularly a one-year assignment in the Canary Islands, Spain. I have six children who grew up in Chicago, all of whom live within a short drive of Lincoln Square. I am a widower but happily re-married and live about a two-minute drive from this property. My wife and I enjoy times with the family, grandkids, travel, church functions, dining out and ballroom dancing.

Why Owner chose North Center
The family and I love this property because of the neighborhood it's in and the rich experiences we enjoy from living in the area. It has great access to public transportation and is steps away from anything a traveler would want.
What makes this Apartment unique
The neighborhood plays a huge part, but the place is special for its openness and multi-faceted history. It had once been a restaurant, business office, an art gallery, wine-tasting site and most importantly, a place for family get-togethers.

Great location. Interesting space. Sofa bed was uncomfortable and coffee pot repeatedly spilled everywhere. TV didn't work. These are easy things to fix though and I'm sure the property owner will handle right away. Front room was basically on the street so very loud and bright for sleeping - would benefit from blackout curtains. That being said, property was clean, and as described. Appreciate the effort to fix the TV. Can't beat the location. The back room was comfortable.
We had an early Christmas here in our home away from home!! The temps were so low that we decided to have 3 days of festivities in the apartment and not try to roam around the city. We were able to cook in the fully appointed kitchen - but not too much as there are great restaurants for carry out nearby! Plenty of room for entertaining and sleeping. Thanks for having everything ready for us, Ro!
huge space in a convenient location
This is a great space for a large family. Our teen girls loved the loft with the privacy curtain. We enjoyed having two tvs, one for Dad's sports in the master/kitchen area and one for the kids video games in front of of their sofa bed. It is close to shopping, and walking distance to Lou's pizza. Only about 20 minutes from the museum district. It was perfect for us. We plan on staying here again.

Good place to stay
A Great Place for Short or Long Term Stay
This was everything it was advertised to be. Clean, nicely decorated, and plenty of room for two to four people. A ten minute walk to the “L” train Brown line which can get you to the Red line or downtown. The unit has a garage which is invaluable. Good neighborhood with a Jewel and nice restaurants. Don’t miss this unit as you won’t find a better or more reasonable place to stay. Great owner who made the check-in seamless and simple.
This property is located in Lincoln Square, a neighborhood in Chicago's northside that takes pride in its richly interwoven cultures and one-of-a-kind businesses that are endearing even for a diverse city like Chicago. Specialty shops like Merz Apothecary, Ash's Magic Shop, Timeless Toys and Gene's Sausage Shop and Fine Wine Brokers are but a few memorable stops in the area. Lincoln Square is a quaint enclave within a city rich in industry, finance, arts, architecture, blues/jazz, theater and ethnic neighborhoods. Amidst the urban bustle lies Lincoln Square's quiet, tree-lined streets where both residents and visitors enjoy year-round events, shopping, food and music festivals, gourmet and casual dining, neighborhood pubs, park activities, sightseeing, farmers markets, local craft beers and festivities like Oktoberfest that draw crowds from other states and countries. Some call the area 'Little Europe' for its European-style cafes, delis and specialty stores. Over its long and rich history, Lincoln Square has been settled by waves of immigrants from Germany, Greece, Eastern Europe, Asia and Mexico who have enriched the economy and traditions of the neighborhood. Cuisines from all continents are amply represented here.
Lincoln Square is also home to the world-renowned Old Town School of Folk Music, which, since moving to the neighborhood in the late 90's, has made the area a go-to destination for dining and nightlife. Many well-known folk, world, bluegrass, jazz, blues and country musicians from all over the world perform at the Old Town School of Music. Pete Seeger, Ottman Lieber, Mahalia Jackson, John Prine, Steve Goodman, Earl Klugh and Bonnie Koloc, Rickie Lee Jones, to name a few, have held concerts there.
