Photos and Description of this Woodstock holiday cabin

4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms on Hubbard Brook

Take a turn down this driveway and leave the world behind. Drive along the trickling mountain stream down into the property which looks out over hubbard brook. The 3 story modern log “lodge” appears through the trees and the moss covered rocks greet you. Offering 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms for convenience on each level, you will want for nothing during your stay. The open concept living room has many delightful details and is the perfect gathering place after a day of snowboarding or skiing, relaxing on the lake, or hiking in the wilderness. The large open kitchen has every convenience and can easily accommodate the preparation of your gourmet meals, while the dining area is beautifully perched overlooking Hubbard Brook. The lower level family room offers a bar, sitting area, and walkout to the fire pit and hot tub overlooking the brook. After your first night's rest you’ll notice the great outdoors is just a few steps away; the house is surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest, and beautiful Mirror Lake is across the street. The set up of the cabin makes it as comfortable for two as it is for a group of family or friends. So, grab those flip flops, hiking boots or fishing poles and explore your surroundings, this is where memories are made.

What makes this cabin unique

The lodge is very secluded, yet only a few miles from I-93, and 2 hours outside of Boston. Hubbard Brook, the White Mountain National Forest, Mirror Lake, and much of the best skiing in the Northeast is at your fingertips, Mother Nature at her best.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was absolutely beautiful. The kitchen was amazing and we as a group had soooo much fun preparing meals together. Saturday it poured so we stayed in all day and played games around the wood stove. We met the cleaner and the plow guy who came to sand for us on Saturday and Sunday. They both were really nice.

The entire weekend was amazing and we hope to make this a yearly tradition. Thank you soo much!!!

Like a dream!

  • 5 of 5

I surprised my fiancé with a cabin in the woods for his 30th birthday. He requested total privacy and wanted a "middle of the woods" feel. He also wanted a jacuzzi! 😂򐠠This cabin is everything he could've ever wished for. The driveway itself takes you far back from the road to a grand log cabin. You can immediately hear the water flowing from the river right behind it. Walk around to the back of the cabin and there is a fire pit and jacuzzi right there! Sitting by the fire and listening to the flowing water was so relaxing. We couldn't hear any cars. A few owls though! Inside was immaculate and spacious. The kitchen was large and a dream to cook in. No TV (which we really liked) but WiFi so you can stay semi connected. One of my favorite things was the waffle maker! Plenty of bedrooms and much space! Also, the town beach is only a 30 second drive (or a quick walk) down the street to mirror lake. Crystal clear water and beautiful views. Even though this place felt secluded, Lincoln New Hampshire was just 15 minutes up the road with plenty of stores and shops. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back. Unbelievable. See for yourself! Couldn't have asked for more.

Well laid out, beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

Spent a long weekend at the cabin in the end of August with some friends, saying it was beautiful would be an understatement. That cabin was well laid out and left us wanting for nothing. Joyce was extremely attentive and provided us all the information on the area we could want. We spent our weekend waking up heading down the back stairs for a quick splash in the brook, then heading out to go kayaking in mirror lake, tubing down the Pemi, and finishing off with a fire and a dip in the hot tub. We didn’t spend much time indoors but the open layout, wood stove, and collection of games in the cabin has us all hoping for a winter visit. Overall we have never been as pleasantly surprised with a rental and how it was represented as we were when we walked into Joyce’s cabin.

Gorgeous home in beautiful and convenient setting

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Joyce's cabin. There was plenty of space for our group with enough beds, linens, pillows, etc. for everyone. The well equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze (the espresso maker and waffle maker were nice treats!), and the dining nook was such a delightful place to enjoy breakfast looking out at the river. The setting was so peaceful and quiet. The river makes for such beautiful scenery, and there was plenty of exploring to do around the area. The proximity to both Loon and Waterville was perfect.

Joyce was such a wonderful host. We hope to return here again and again!

Pictures don't do it justice

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at Joyce's lovely cabin with 7 friends on an annual snowboard trip. Not only did this house meet my expectations, it exceeded them. As there were only 2 couples among the group, there was still beds for the rest who didn't share. The kitchen was well equipped and very open- it was our most visited space as a group. Tons of games, no need for tv! The property was stunning, the creek that ran behind it was so pretty, and you could see it from all the rear facing windows. The long winding driveway necessary for making such a set back peaceful spot was a little challenge for us on the way out, as it had frozen up, but Joyce had our back with her immediate responses to any questions. Loon was great for riding, small local feel- easy distance from the house. Thanks again for the great few days- I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a high end woodsy retreat. My only note for improvement is for Joyce to take a ton more pictures of the place, unless her intention was for the renters to be pleasantly surprised.

Wonderful, cozy, clean vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

Your house is wonderful, cozy and clean! Thank you very much for providing a nice place to stay for our family gathering. We had a lot of fun! We had fun at your house enjoying the great sounds of nature, the brook, the fire pit, and the hot tub. We also went to Clark's Trading Post, the Basin, and swimming at the Pemi, and on the way home, a stop at Polar Caves. Lots of family fun - Thanks for a great place to stay. We hope to return!

Tucked Away Cabin on the edge of the Woods

  • 5 of 5

Some girlfriends and I rented the Cabin to celebrate my Birthday and had a WONDERFUL time! We enjoyed the Hot Tub at night, cooked excellent meals in the beautiful, fully-stocked kitchen, and cuddled up by the fire to play games in the evenings. On the last night we discovered a light-switch that illuminated the snow-covered brook at night-it was magical! The thing to point out: If you go in the Winter and do not have 4WD but have a lot of stuff to carry down, it will take awhile and some gumption but it is worth it! The beds were comfortable, the air was clean and crisp, and the cabin was Warm-what more could you ask for?

Owner's Response: We do recommend an AWD vehicle in the Winter! The driveway is paved, and plowed and sanded regularly, but it can nonetheless be icy. We do keep a toboggan at the top for carting your supplies down. Sorry you didn't find it Kate, it must have been covered in snow!
