The house is 1614 square feet with a soaring ceiling, plenty of gathering spaces, unique, warm, and inviting. It has a very functional layout: the bedrooms on one side and the open space on the other side.
The house has:

Perfect for couples and individuals. Two traditional bedrooms with king and queen size beds, plus the tatami room with comfortable pads and bedding, and a pullout sofa bed in the family room, can easily fit 2 or 3 couples, or up to 6 individuals. The big open space of the family room and the kitchen is on the other side of the house, same as the backyard with the outdoor table and sofa. That makes the house very functional for resting and gathering. The tatami room can also be a “work from home” station with a big desk and WiFi relay.
Kid friendly and family oriented! The house has everything you need for kids of all ages: high chairs, baby bath, toys, books, DVDs, electric piano, and baby utensils. Pack-n-play and stroller are also available upon request. All tall furniture is fixed to wall for safety. The backyard is very safe for kids to play in. The swing in the side yard that can be converted into a hammock, is every kid’s favorite. We have also provided a document with all info on the most kid friendly wineries, farmers’ markets, nearby Train Town, Safari West, and all the best family places.
Perfect for wedding guests! We've hosted many wedding guests before; they’ve all enjoyed our amenities (ironing board, etc.), capabilities (spaces to sleep for individuals and parking spaces), and flexibility. The house is also very close to most wedding venues.
The Full (and fully equipped) kitchen is a gourmet cook’s delight. It has new stainless steel gas stove and refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, oven, toaster, coffee maker, blender, cookware (including a turkey set), utensils, wine-related tools, dishes and glassware. A Weber BBQ Grill is in the backyard. Everything you need to feel at home. The beautiful dining table can be extended to sit more than 8 people.
Both bathrooms are full baths with all you need provided: hair dryer, toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner), high-end towels (three sizes), and toilet papers. Laundry room is next to kitchen, with best-rated washer and dryer, and laundry detergent.
The private backyard is safe for kids to play in, and is a lovely spot for a quiet outdoor meal or an afternoon of lounging. The backyard has a comfortable sofa set, a BBQ grill, and a dining table. The side yard has a swing that can be converted into a hammock – it’s a perfect spot to read in the golden sunset in the afternoon. There are lemon trees in the front yard and flowers visited by the occasional humming bird in the back yard.
Heat/Air Conditioning, free hi-speed Wi-Fi in every corner (with relay) and the backyard, gas fireplace, DVD player, ironing board, cable with a big screen TV, and a folder filled with vetted local info are all provided. All towels & linens provided.

We are a family with small children who fell in love with the spirit of wine country. We found this house (with the protection one huge and magical tree gives the house) perfectly captures the relaxation, openness and energy that make Sonoma so unique. We are excited to share this with guests who will appreciate a truly special place.
Lan Marvit purchased this house in 2013
Unbeatable location: We are near all the attractions and amenities Sonoma has to offer - world class wineries, luxury spas, golf courses, shopping, historic downtown, hiking trails in natural settings and through vineyards, world-class restaurants and local eateries, farmers markets and local fruit stand, museums and art galleries.
Spacious (1614 sqft): the master bedroom, the tatami room, and the space of the family room and adjacent open kitchen are all big, make it perfect for families and friends. The cathedral ceiling makes the space spacious in three dimensions.
Beautiful: the front, side, and backyard have all sort of flowers and plants; the unique and tranquil tatami room provides a romantic atmosphere; the whole glass wall lets the morning sunlight in, makes the dinning room and the kitchen enchanted.
Close to everything, and yet quiet and relaxed.
Minutes away from our favorite wineries - Imagery, Little Family Winery, Chateau St Jean, BR Cohn, Ty Caton Vineyards, Muscardini Cellars, and Cline Cellar.
Tatami room is beautiful and is full of smell of the tatami grass.
Local fruit stand down the road - they sell everything, all local stuff.
Local guide is provided.
Kid friendly: The house has many kid's stuff and it's very safe for kids - all tall furniture is fixed to wall.
The house is fully stocked (especially the kitchen): we've put everything in place for guests to be completely at home.
Good for wedding guests: Close to wedding venues. The house has amenities and space for preparations for the weddings. Many off street parking spaces available.
The house was warm and clean, very inviting. We loved the fireplace, the open space, and the tatami platform (it doubles as a bed, one of my friends slept there). It was perfect for our holiday gathering. Lan provided all the information we would need during our stay. Everyone felt very comfortable here, it was a nice location, and a nice house to come back to at the end of a long day of wine tasting and dining. I'd definitely stay here again.
The six of us stayed at a beautiful, comfortable, inviting home in Sonoma, California. The owners were easily available and most accommodating before, during, and after our stay. We cooked and served our family Thanksgiving dinner complete with homemade pies and all in the well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and TV in the comfortable living room. Our stay was everything we wanted for our family Thanksgiving together.
I highly recommend booking this lovely home for your next trip to beautiful California wine country!
The process of renting and staying at this house was extremely smooth. Lan sent us a lot of local info to help us plan the trip. She answered all of our questions well before we arrived. The house has a keyless entry, which made check-in very easy even though we had an unusual arrival time. We used the tatami room lots of different ways. We used it for playing board games, for sleeping, yoga... The kitchen couldn’t be more fully stocked – Lan asked us to take a look before we went shopping. We loved the spaces both inside and out. (Great backyard, swing chair in the side yard, and garden in front). The WiFi was fast and worked really well in every corner. The thing we loved the most is the location – it was easy to get to anywhere. This house really worked for our get-together. Highly recommended. (We will definitely stay there again!)
My family and I had a great experience! As soon as we arrived, there was an overwhelming feeling of peace and relaxation. It was truly the perfect getaway in a great location. Also loved the back yard.
The place is perfect for a family to stay, with clean rooms and spacious living room, family members can enjoy gathering. Lan provided very clear instructions beforehand so everything was easy. The kitchenware is complete so we could cook when we were tired of eating at restaurants. All in all, my family had a joyful time staying at Lan’s place, thank you Lan!
We came here for a wedding and sightseeing - it's our first time to visit Sonoma. We couldn't be happier staying at this house - the whole stay was very smooth and absolutely perfect! First we got a strong support system - Lan's text hot line, we got answers to our questions in seconds. The house itself is very spacious, we fully took advantage of the open space of the kitchen and the dinning room, we also used the tatami room for our gathering. We also loved the fully stocked kitchen - it has everything we needed to cook a great meal. We highly recommend this house to everyone who is going to visit Sonoma! And we will definitely stay there again in the future!
