The barn cottage
Everything is just as she says. Our stay was amazing. My husband and I used our time away from everyone and with no phone service to reconnect with each other and God. It was an amazing trip. The property is gorgeous and the cottage is just as cute. We will return !!
Nice weekend getaway
Although it rained all day Saturday, it was very peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful view and very clean. I would definitely go back
Enjoyed it while we were there
The property is great and is as advertised. We didn't get to enjoy it as much as we'd like due to our schedule of events while we were in the area. There was a smell of gasoline in the entryway going up to the apartment but I assume this is normal since the apartment is the top floor of a barn. In all, we were pleased.
Sorry about that!! Not always an issue...must have been filling up mowers and string trimmers!!
Such a lovely location. Unique space.
My family of 4 enjoyed our stay. Comfortable for us. Especially enjoyed seeing the horses with a back drop of mountains each day.
Wonderful place. Mountains in the background, horses galloping and playing in the foreground. You can hear the stream. Very peaceful. Biking and hiking nearby.

Inducted into the Rails to Trails Hall of Fame in 2015, the Virginia Creeper Trail is one of the country’s most famous biking trails. The Creeper stretches 34 miles from Whitetop Mountain down to Abingdon, VA, passing straight through downtown Damascus along the way. The portion of the trail going from Whitetop to Damascus is almost all downhill for 17 beautiful miles, making it the most popular bike route in the region.
Several bike rental companies in town offer shuttle services from Damascus to Whitetop, so the trail is highly accessible; and there are plenty of opportunities to stop along the way, for food, scenery or historical information.
For more info about the Creeper, check out the VA Creeper Trail website and the VA Creeper Trail Club website.
