About Jeremy and Anna Young

We built this cabin in 2001. We had to relocate for our son to go to school in MA. We both were born and raised in Glover. We have always loved our cabin and hope you will too!

Jeremy and Anna Young purchased this cabin in 2001

Another wonderful stay!!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying here, and once again - it was amazing! We noticed a few updates and changes from the last time we'd been there, and of course it was great! Nice job! For us, this is a perfect location - away from the busyness of other locations, secluded and quiet, but still close enough to hit everything we wanted to do with ease! We arrived early on Thursday (to absolutely perfect fall peak colors!), and the cabin was all ready and inviting for us. Anna made sure to check in with us just briefly to make sure we had everything we needed. All in all, it was a quiet, relaxing, thoroughly enjoyable time, and at the end of our stay... we didn't want to leave!! Very much looking forward to next time!

Perfect cabin for our weekend in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

Booking the cabin through HomeAway was so easy and most of all Anna was very helpful in making sure we had a great stay. The cabin is very rustic and in a very quiet location which is what we were looking for, it was just for us and our Yorkie. A few of the things we really liked about the cabin were, the garage, gas grill on the deck, outdoor fire pit, and the large yard for our dog to run to her hearts content. If the weather would have been a little nicer we would have checked out the pond and used the paddle boat.

When we were not at the cabin we explored the surrounding areas such as Glover, West Glover, East Burke, Barton, and also Lyndon. A few places we would suggest to visit are, Hill Farmstead Brewery( great beer selection with an onsite food truck), Parker Pie ( Pizza), C & C market ( groceries), Burke Publick House ( restaurant and bar), and also Red Sky Trading ( antiques and baked goods, all self serve). Needless to say we had a lovely stay and will be coming back again!

Nice cabin to stay in & feel at home.

  • 4 of 5

Very nice spacious cabin in the mountains and woods. We were in the area for a wedding and were unable to visit all the great places suggested by Anna Young but she was very helpful with directions and our questions. She was so easy to work with and communications were timely and helpful. We were a party of 5 and were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed morning coffee on the deck. We couldn’t ask for more and we would defiantly stay here again.

Perfect for an active family

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed staying in this quiet, quaint, and kid-friendly cabin. The cabin has everything you needed and more. My daughters, aged 3 and 1, had so much fun with all the toys and books available. The crib was great and the availability of a high-chair and stair gates were wonderful. The open floor plan was great fro all family members to spend time together. The property is expansive and offers a lot of play area and is great for exploring. My oldest daughter was besides herself today when she woke up back home and not at "her house" as she affectionately referred to the Young Cabin, a testament that everyone had a great weekend away. Thank you we will be back!

Log Cabin in Beautiful Area

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 8 nights for a family vacation at the Young’s cabin, and enjoyed the private wooded setting. The owners made us feel welcome by giving us information ahead of time about the area, and promptly answering any questions that we had before and during our stay. The cabin was clean and accurately described on the website. The town of Glover is very small and scenic, and centrally located with the Northeast Kingdom. During our stay, we enjoyed swimming and kayaking on Lake Willoughby, swimming at Crystal Lake, the Jay Peak water park, and the Fairbanks Museum in St. Johnsbury. We also made some day trips to the Stowe/ Waterbury area, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. The only down-side for us was the lack of restaurants in the immediate area, but that is understandable given the rural character of the region. There is a popular pizza restaurant in Glover, and we recommend Dylan’s Café in St. Johnsbury. More restaurants are available in Newport and some of the other larger towns.
