A family-run property celebrating 50 years of being an eco-cultural destination. Just a short 1 hour ride from Bangkok. 30km west of Bangkok. Back in 1962, the business started as a supplier of roses to the Bangkok flower markets. Since then, it has grown gradually to a 70-acre riverside property where visitors can experience authentic Thai way of life and learn about our local wisdom. We are more like a community than a 'typical' resort.
40 years ago people felt that Thai houses were old-fashioned and out-dated. Today, many appreciate the houses again, which also inspired the concept of Thai style villas many holidaymakers are fascinated with. In the early days, the owners of Sampran Riverside bought 100-year old Thai houses, built entirely of teak from local farmers in Nakhon Pathom. The antique Thai houses were lovingly restored and placed around the central lake. The interior remained authentic in Thai decor and renovations were made to include modern amenities essential to todays lifestyle. Since its reconstruction, the lakeside houses on stilts have been a picturesque trademark of Sampran Riverside. Each of the houses is named after a Thai flower that grows at the entrance of the house. The 6 traditional Thai Houses with lush gardens and views of the serene lake provide suitable lodging options for families, honeymooners or a group of friends looking for an authentic Thai experience near Bangkok.
Our facilities in the property include Spa, restaurants, meeting rooms, Thai Village and a certified Organic Farm.
