Spring Break 2017

We stayed in unit #46 of Aloha Kai. It is a cute 1 bedroom home, with a kitchen, dining room and screened in lanai. The unit is perfect for a trip for 2! Very easy to find, check in and check out were probably the easiest we have experienced, ever! Aloha Kai is very conveniently located on the beach side of Midnight Pass Rd and an easy walk to Siesta Village. The unit is very close to the large, clean pool. It's nice that a key fob is required to get in. It is not right on the beach, but it takes no time to get to the beach. It is great that chaise lounge chairs are available for our use. Too bad most folks do not return the chairs when they are done using them. The beach is clean, white and cool to the feet! If you venture out to Turtle Beach, there is a huge difference between the two. The Fun Boat Tours trip to Sand Dollar Sandbar is worth every penny. Andrew and Anthony do a great job of making sure you enjoy yourselves. Renting a boat from CB's was easy and convenient, too. As far as restaurants are concerned, the food at the boatyard was good but the service was just ok. If it weren't for the drinks, Gilligan's Island Bar & Grill was not good. We ordered blackened fish and it wasn't and the service was TERRIBLE. It was like we were invisible.

Solorzano's pizza is as good as they advertise, too! Seriously good pizza. The Hub Baja Grill is very good and lively. Service was great, the grouper was a little too salty but the lobster tacos were great.

We had a great vacation and really look forward to our return trip to the area!

We would definitely return to this property. Pool was exceptional as was the beach. The condo was just right for the price. Would highly recommend staying.

Great location, clean, such friendly folks

We have stayed for about a week on Siesta key each of the last 3 years. This was our FAVORITE place to stay. Why:

First I'll get any negatives out of the way. #46 is 1 BR 1 Bath. It is a few steps from the pool but quite a bit away from the beach and no water views or sounds at all. However the Pool is huge (...the biggest on Siesta key)...and so great for swimming laps. Also in Jan there were no kids in the pool at all and so was great for uninterrupted exercise...no squealing etc. In #46 the water pressure is really low for a shower.

Sheets need replacing....elastic loose and so slipping off bed.

Everything else was wonderful.....fully equipped ......usually never enough towels...no leftover coffee, tea, shampoo, etc. etc, This place HOWEVER had lots of stuff to get us started eg. above items and paper towels, Keurig cups, fully stocked glasses, cups, silverware etc. etc. so we didn't have to run to the store immediately. Loads of extra coverlets, pillows.

Owners...thanks for a great 8 days. We will stay at Aloha Key next time we come. Several other visitors said the same thing.

It's a short drive to Siesta key Village (or one could walk). We recommend Baja Grill (Cuban Sandwich is awesome), Oyster bar (the place with dollar bills hanging)...Keith's tacos are wonderful and the other end of the Island..Turtle Bay grill is v. reasonable and good...great ambience
