This is a traditional stone home with a large terrace overlooking the picturesque Adriatic Sea. The home is located in Lapad, which is a quiet and quaint area of the city of Dubrovnik. Its accommodations are modernly equipped to provide a comfortable experience and an unforgettable stay during your vacation.
The home itself has three bedrooms – two bedrooms are equipped with double beds while the third has one single bed. There are also two bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, a living and a dining room with direct access to a large terrace which measures 80 square meters.
The terrace, with its large size and potential for activities, is a separate part of the home where one can easily spend an entire day. There is a covered lounge area featuring lounge chairs and table along with a barbecue grill which is ideal for preparing and serving grilled specialties. After a delicious meal, time can be enjoyed relaxing with a refreshing drink or taking in the magnificent views of the bay of Gruz and the Dubrovnik Bridge, especially at night…
There was one surprise however. Since the pictures of the view from the terrace were taken there has been a huge marina built right in front of the building which partially obstructs the view of the harbour. This marina is still under construction and I understand there are plans to widen the Lapadska road which runs right in front of the building. If you are planning to rent in the near future you might want to ask about the construction. You should also be aware that there is a narrow spiral staircase without any handrails that could be a challenge to anyone with mobility issues. That being said I would still recommend staying here
Beautiful, immaculately clean house with everything you need to enjoy your stay.
Mato & his mum were very friendly & helpful.
We loved sitting on the balcony watching all the cruise ships coming in & out.
Lots of good restaurants shops & beaches within walking distance without having to go into the craziness of old town.
We are a family of six adults, had plenty of space in the house & really enjoyed our stay here.
I stayed here with four friends and we had a great time! Mato was a great host and responded very efficiently to our queries. The property is very well maintained and is just like the photos. There are two good size double rooms and a smaller double room. The terrace is amazing with loads of space to have a BBQ and watch all the ships come in. You can walk to the beach and there are lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk. You can also walk to Dubrovnik old town about 40mins or get the bus which takes 5mins and drops you right outside the house. Fantastic place to stay and I would definitely recommend!
Fabulous place with a fabulous host Mato. He helped us get from the ferry terminal with heavy bags and organise a boat.
Our group had a wonderful holiday at Mato's fabulous house! He was very easy to work with and answered my questions quickly. We booked it for the terrace and it did not disappoint! We were met by Mato's mother who is a lovely host! She was there waiting for us despite our hour early arrival, got us set-up for our week, and made restaurant and beach recommendations. Restaurant Orsan is a must and it's such an easy walk! As much as we loved exploring Dubrovnik and its environs, we could not wait to get back to the terrace every evening; it made our holiday perfect! Peppers, the restaurant next door, even made Pimms Cup pitchers for us to take away to enjoy on our terrace! The house has everything you need, and is away from the crowds of the Old City. We highly recommend Stone House Jele!
