About Angelo/Deborah DeMattia

My wife Debbie are semi-retired educators, live in central New Jersey where we enjoy family and travel frequently.

Angelo/Deborah DeMattia purchased this cabin in 2003

Why Angelo/Deborah DeMattia chose Killington Area

We have owned this property for 35 years and decided to rebuild from a small cabin to this more than two thousand square foot real log cabin. A year after building the new cabin, we added a real log garage.

What makes this cabin unique

We chose this property for its remote location, yet proximity to the beauties of Vermont. I vividly recall family & friends sharing our walks on remote trails, the apple & berry picking, and bathing in our small pond when our kids were 'kids.'

Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We only stayed for 2 nights, but the cabin was awesome and provided everything we needed. We had a few questions for the owners and they were very quick to respond. I will stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

Charming Vermont cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We recently had a family reunion in Vermont, and some of us stayed in this beautiful and well-appointed house - it has all the charm of a log cabin, but with many of the amenities of a very well-appointed vacation home, so it was the best of both worlds! The owners were wonderfully welcoming and responsive, from answering our questions before we got there, to greeting us with a lovely gift basket on the counter upon our arrival. The house is lovely, with comfortable beds, multiple roomy bathrooms, and lovely places to gather, including a pretty sunroom, a large living room with the comfiest sofa EVER, and a fire pit in the back yard where we had a lovely fire under the Vermont stars. There is a caretaker next door, who was so friendly and responsive the one time we needed to call him (for something minor) - what a nice thing to have, especially in such a rural area. This part of Vermont is just breath-takingly lovely, and a short drive from places like Dorset and Manchester, where there are lots of fun things to do (the Dorset quarry for swimming, great outlet shopping in Manchester, and some fabulous restaurants - don't miss the Barrows House in Dorset). We would come back to this beautiful home in a heartbeat!

Amazing Stay!

  • 5 of 5

I had the pleasure of staying at the Tinmouth property with my family. The home was lovely, providing a quiet and cozy cabin escape from the day-to-day hustle of work, school and responsibilities. The homeowners were friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were well informed of the area and that we enjoyed our stay. If you are looking to relax and possibly fit in some skiing, I would highly recommend you stay at this home!

Gorgeous and Luxurious

  • 5 of 5

This cabin exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful!!! The house felt like it was designed for or by 2 people who love each other - a 2 person jacuzzi, a 2 person shower, a TV that swivels on its wall mount to face the living room or the kitchen.

The kitchen is well appointed and wonderful to use with every size pot or pan you could need, a coffee pot, filters, sugar. Everything worked perfectly - the jacuzzi, the washer/dryer, the dishwasher, the TV. The fireplace is striking and very easy to use with plenty of wood and fire starters. I was also pleasantly surprised to find the cabin had radiant heat! I love having bare feet at all times and didn't realize I'd been waiting all my life for a heated floor!!

The cabin was spotless - no signs of bugs or mice. The entry was easy and convenient. It snowed a few inches on our first evening and I was able to drive through it in my front wheel drive car with no problem. I'd love to stay here again! My boyfriend and I kept saying we needed to find out who built the place because it was literally PERFECT for us!

Also, Angelo and Debbie are both lovely. They were flexible and considerate when I wanted to add a night, just a few nights before our arrival. No stress, very pleasant and understanding. And we arrived to find a delicious Cabernet with a card!!!!! I'm ready to go back already!!!!!

Beautiful, secluded, affordable ski weekend

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed at many homes through Homeaway and AirBnb, and Angelo's and Debby's log cabin was as close to perfection as possible! It was a lovely, peaceful location that was still easily accessible for skiing; the home was incredibly beautiful and well-equipped; and our host's generously accommodating spirit was of course appreciated, especially the thoughtful welcome note and gift basket. I often enjoy booking through Homeaway because of the wide variety of lodging experiences one can find, but I have a strong feeling I will be returning to Tinmouth in future ski seasons! There's simply no reason to look any farther afield once you've found such an affordable, yet quality, home. Thank you!

Very true to the pics!

  • 5 of 5

What a great place to get away from the city life! Exactly what i was looking for a family winter vacation. The highlight was the fireplace and the huge dining / living room where we spent all the evenings. Everyone from my grandmother to the baby enjoyed the ambience of the house. Only great memories of the wonderful expirence in Vermont thanks to Debbie and Angelo.. They were very helpful with the whole arrangement process and the welcome basket was very touching gesture!

Highly recommended for an adventurous trip!
