Joe & Casey Kigin
About Joe & Casey Kigin
Originally from the East Coast, my husband Joe went to CU for graduate school when we were dating. We fell in love with Colorado and after visiting Grand Lake while he was here we knew we were destined to make Colorado our eventual home. We moved to CO in 1997, raised our kids (Son 24, Daughter 19, Daughter 17), who had the pleasure of being able to spend the summers & holidays of their childhood being "raised" up at Grand Lake, going to nearby YMCA Summer Camps and attending the Grand Lake Youth Theatre Workshops, and make Grand Lake the focus of our immediate and extended family get-togethers. Wherever life takes us we know that we will always come back to Grand Lake as our "Happy Place".
Joe & Casey Kigin purchased this House in 2003
Why Joe & Casey Kigin chose Grand Lake
As we started raising our family we would come up to Grand Lake several times a year & one time on a horseback ride that went above town we rode through a quiet neighborhood that had several new cabins that had great lake views and was walking distance to town. We fell in love with our cabin for the peace of mind of it being newly-built, having private unblocked views of Shadow Mountain Lake and of the Never Summer Range. Inside it provided the cozy feel we were looking for while being able to provide all of the modern amenities we felt we and our customers would enjoy in a home away from home. Being able to walk into town, up to the Grand Lake Lodge, down to the Lake(s), and being a short 2-min drive from the main entrance to Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park, as well as the many other opportunities provided in the area for summer/winter recreation only add to the appeal of providing a more enjoyable vacation than going to Summit County & Estes Park.
