About Nicolas

I am Parisian and i like this city. I know a lot about and it will be a pleasure to assist you for anything you want during your stay. From simple advices, to places to see and to find anytime a good adress, good restaurant, special need, ect… This city offer so much that you just have to ask me !

Nicolas purchased this apartment in 2013

Why Nicolas chose 8th Arrondissement Champs Elysees

The place is very large (1881sqm) and very central located in the middle of all the points of interests in the prestigious paris 8th district. Fully renewed we keep some old and precious furnitures and style of the apartment. This mix is very appreciated by our guest.

The Rue de Rome is the street of the artists in Paris, because of many musical shops with amazing store fronts as it is the home of most of the luthiers in Paris ! The music academy is near. You are very close to all the traditional Paris points of interested as Opéra, Grands Magasins and Champs Elysées at less than 10 minutes, then places like Montmartre Gare Saint Lazare (dynamic shops and bar/restaurants place) and Pigalle also very close also. The Theaters and cabarets of the Paris 9th district are about few minutes walking. Many people from the Paris 8th district use to live in this area because of running out of the massive tourism, and also because of numerous schools. The famous 'rue de levis' (traditional shopping street, no cars) and 'villiers' fruits and vegetables market as the Biological market of the batignolles (saturday morning) are very famous and important in Paris, as the Parc Monceau and square des Batignolles at about 15 minutes walking that are two great parcs especially for famillies and childrens ! Many guests confess me that is the most central and best place to visit Paris !

What makes this apartment unique

Very central located- not massive tourism- in the middle of every thing- fantastic transport connections- two parc around (rare in paris)- renewed apartment- Very large apartment for central Paris city 1881 sqm- new furnitures- and extra clean place (some guests says that we beat 'marriot hotels' :-))

Stop reading this and book this place before someo

  • 5 of 5

Stop reading this and book this place before someone else does, now! We stayed here for my 50th birthday (me and my wife and 2 teenage children) and I could not have wished for anything better. The apartment is in a superb location. Lots of local bars, restaurants, boulangeries, supermarkets all outside the tourist trap areas. Nicolas has put together a great booklet with absolutely everything you need to know. I reall enjoyed living as the locals do. Getting to all the main sights was really very easy. We used the Metro (station are very close) and Uber. We also walked as everything is so accessible. We absolutely loved the location, safe, clean, local. We walked to the Moulin Rouge (15 mins). Local markets were 10 mins away. We were overwhelmed by how engaging and supportive Nicolas was. He made contact when we booked, and emailed and called several times to ask if there was anything we wanted to know or needed. Nicolas was also in constant contact during our stay. It was my birthday whilst we were there and Nicolas kindly made recommendations for restaurants and bars. Thank you Nicolas. We tried Nicolas' mum's breakfast. Lovely hot croissants, pain au chocolats and freshly squeezed orange juice. This was perfect on our first morning. Nicolas had also kindly left some wine, water, snacks and fruit for us which was a lovely surprise and gesture. Thank you again Nicolas. We needed somewhere to store our cases as Nicolas was away when we left and Nicolas very kindly made the necessary arrangements off his own back. Thank you yet again Nicolas. And what an apartment, everything is renewed and perfectly clean, prepared by professionals. 3 large bedrooms. Very warm. Very clean and tidy with everything we required. I can't think of how our visit could have been improved. The only very minor thing to note is the creaky wooden floors and the fact that most bars and restaurants are closed on Sunday. We will definitely stay here again and that is recommendation enough. If you want a beautiful apartment that is clean, beautiful and very accessible to all of the main tourist attractions yet outside of the tourist run then I can't recommend this highly enough! This was our very first HomeAway experience and wow, what a great one to start with.

Spotless apartment and wonderful hosts

  • 5 of 5

We had a superb stay; starting with the warmest welcome with Nicholas waiting for us to arrive at the front door and even took me on his scooter for a wonderful tour around the neighborhood! The apartment is spotless, and yet so charming, quintessentially Parisienne, it has bright natural light with windows all around and beautifully decorated. Nicholas is host extraordinaire with generous portions of Evian bottled water, beers and soft drinks left in the fridge, 3 bottles of lovely French wines and fresh flowers with a bowl of fruits to welcome us. There's everything provided; including toiletries and good towels. It's perfect for us 3 to start our stay in this gorgeous 200-year Haussmann building followed by my sis and hubby joining on last 2 nights. And if you're there you simply can't miss ordering mama's freshly baked and homemade & delivered to table: croissants and choc croissants with OJ and mama making delicious coffee on the spot! Definitely one of our most enjoyable Homeaway stay, the location is super too within walking distances to metro, Printemps and Galerie Lafayette plus an awesome street market 5-7mins away to buy freshest seafood, local delicacies, fruits and veggies! Opera and Champs Elysées also.Thank you Nicholas and mama, we had an unforgettable time in Paris!

Incredible apartment and host!

  • 5 of 5

This property is worth 5 stars and more in so many categories.

The apartment has it all - great location, welcoming, patient host, extremely clean and comfortable rooms, and lots of added extras! There were five people staying at this property and we all loved it! Free wi-fi, available baked/hot breakfast delivery from the host's mother, washer/dryer, tv/dvd, lots of places to lounge, free mini bar, wine, champagne, fully stocked kitchen items for cooking/eating/drinking (including items like foil and pans), and the list goes really is like your very own place in Paris.

The beds are some of the most comfortable I've slept in at any hotel/property and each room has its own unique view and theme. The bathrooms are spotless while color coded towels (for multiple guests) are provided. The hardwood flooring throughout is beautiful -- there is a no shoes policy after entering the apartment which is an excellent practice (especially seeing the gunk on the streets of Paris).

The property is close to grocery stores (for cooking/snacks), department and smaller stores, metro and trains (there is a station one block away). There are numerous cafes within walking as well - one is across the street. There is an elevator for those needing assistance getting up to the apartment.

The host, Nicolas, was on property (even before we arrived) to show/explain the apartment and related things (doors, kitchen appliance, etc). In addition, he was available 24/7 for anything we needed assistance with.

I can understand why previous bookings all had 5 out of 5 stars for this property -- this property is exceptional in so many ways.

Great location and a very nice apartment

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in this apartment on our first visit to Paris. At first, I wondered if the location would be suitable for first-time visitors, yet any concerns were put aside right away when we saw the great neighbourhood, the very short walk to 3 different Metro and rail stations, and the walkability to the main attractions. The apartment itself is both quiet and beautiful, with all of the amenities one could ever need. We were travelling with three children under 12 and they all really enjoyed the apartment and the location. For anyone planning on a stay here, I recommend having Nicolas' mother cater for you at least one morning of your stay; it is well worth it. Nicolas is a wonderful host and he made everything from check-in to check-out easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Exceptional experience

  • 5 of 5

My exceptional experience began before I even booked my vacation rental. Nicolas stayed in constant communication with me through my long travel from the US to Paris. I was greeted with Nicolas once I arrived at the apartment. The apartment was beautiful and exactly what an american girl pictures a Parisian apartment to look like, from the old chandeliers and armoires, to the fireplaces and nearly floor to wall windows with petite balconies. The beds were of best quality and the had all brand new appliances. As if this was not enough, the apartment was incredibly clean ( I'm obssesive compulsive about cleanliness, so this is a huge statement, as I never think anything is clean enough lol) and Nicolas' hospitality could rival The Ritz at Place Vandome! He welcomed me, made sure I was settled in. He had a mini bar and french truffles, along with chocolates throughout the apartment. The TV and internet sufficed the needs of a DIE HARD Patriots fan in the midst of the Playoffs and toiletries were even provided, courtesy of Nicolas' mother, who seems to have the spirit of all of France. Now, for location, it was not across the street from the Eiffel Tower, but I found that I was able to actually walk to just about every major tourist attraction that I wanted to. If I got tired I could have taken any two of the metros which were conveniently by the apartment, but I never did, as Uber was super convenient, fast and inexpensive. The neighborhood was far better than any of those close to major attractions, so it was no sacrifice at all, and I was able to find some amazing local restaurants close by and along the way of my daily adventure. Nicolas stayed in touch with me throughout my stay, making sure I was enjoying my stay, recommending places to visit and eat as well as answer any questions that I may have had. I would gladly stay there again and again and highly recommend it to anyone thinking about a visit to this amazing city! My experience in one word...flawless.

Five stars stay

  • 5 of 5

Nicolas and his mother are extremely friendly and welcoming. We could not have asked for a warmer reception. The apartment is in a great location and in a very nice apartment building. The lift is in good working condition, so absolutely no stairs need to be climbed. The apartment is also on one level (no stairs) which was great. The apartment is very spacious and the decor is amazing as it is a superb blend of old and new. The finishes in the apartment are great, including the quality of the beds and the linen. Nicolas has gone through a lot of trouble in preparing a guide book of Paris and specifically the immediate surrounding area. From the complimentary mini bar to the cereals and snacks provided by Nicolas, the service he provided was five star and greatly appreciated. We will definitely return and highly recommend this place.

Car: not necessary

The apartment is very central located in the prestigious paris 8th district. Out of any massive tourism you will feel as a real parisian living in a 'Haussmanian' building' in the Rome street, witch is the street of the musicians and musical shops as the conservatory is near. The place is the residential place of the Paris 8th district with a lot of shops, fruits and vegetable market, and parisian bakery, wine shops, ect… Also you will be only few minutes walking to the most dynamic shop place in Europe with Grands Magasins and Haussmann Boulevard place where there is Gallery Lafayete for exemple. Don't miss it ! you are at the best place in Paris for unique experience.
