Bedrooms 2
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

This little cabin in the pine forest is designed for folks who don't need a huge cabin.

Perfect for celebrating a special occasion or someone needing some real peace and quiet!

Cle Elum is an ideal location for a quick getaway, located only 90 minutes from Seattle over I-90.

The cabin sits atop a mountain ridge within the new Washington State Teanaway Community Forest, near Alpine Lakes trails and the Wenatchee National Forest. Few rentals exist here.

The area is known for its abundant wildlife and back country trails. Snowmobiling, snow shoeing, wildlife viewing, hiking and biking can start at your doorstep. Afterwards, just relax on the very private back deck and enjoy peace and quiet.

For winter travel over Snoqualmie Pass and to the cabin door, 4wd/AWD and having chains is required.

The cabin features a warm open living, dinning and kitchen area. The master bedroom features a king bed and a second bedroom has a double bed.

One full bath featuring a full bath tub.

All you need to pack are personal/play items, food and clothing. Everything else is provided, including fire wood on your porch.

Cle Elum and downtown Roslyn ‘s restaurants and attractions are 30 minutes away from your mountain retreat. An excursion to Leavenworth is about an one hour drive.

The property was beautiful and very quiet.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was well appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. There were plenty of good dvds for watching in the evening. The kitchen was stocked well with all the utensils we needed to cook meals and bbq on the deck. The water does have a bit of a sulpher smell but it didn't bother us for cooking, coffee or showering. We did bring bottled water for drinking though. We had planned on going on some hikes but it was honestly so nice & relaxing we spent most of our time on the back deck. There is a keurig and drip coffeemaker at the cabin so you have choices.

Quiet, tucked away, great location close to rivers, hiking trails. Cabin is FULLY equipped!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 nights here and barely saw a soul. Very quiet. Cabin has a COMPLETE kitchen. We didn't use the fireplace or brand new grill on the deck, but they are there! Poured rain one night but we felt cozy. Next day sunny and glorious. The view off the back deck is just beautiful- trees, trees, trees and smells wonderful! Close drive to Cle Elum for supplies. Took a short drive north to the old mining town of Liberty which has some interesting displays.

As someone suggested before, bring bottled water and you might want to bring condiments, seasonings if you plan on cooking. But they have every utensil you could want. They even had a pizza pan and a Keurig coffee machine. (bring your own extra pods-they had a few but we are big coffee drinkers) Buy/bring a NW Forest Pass and Discover Pass as all hiking, picnic areas we saw required one or the other. Overall we would recommend for those who truly want an out of city escape!

Peaceful and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the cabin. SO quiet especially compared to the city and close to lots of great hiking. The hosts have obviously put a lot of thought into making the cabin comfortable and we lacked for nothing (even a knife that could slice a tomato!). The woodstove was very welcome though the electric heat is certainly up to the task of keeping you warm.

As others have pointed out, this is a woodsy community so there are other cabins nearby (hundreds of yards, not tens). Having said that, we didn't feel too close to any neighbors and it was phenomenally quiet.

There's also no wifi and cell phone coverage is sparse (we have AT&T). This is part of the reason we chose it so it's not a negative. However, if you're looking for someplace where you can stream your movies and check Facebook frequently, this may not be the right home for you.

Loved it without reserve. 5 stars.

Great Family Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our Family loved our stay at this cabin retreat! This cabin is a great mix of rustic remoteness but with modern amenities and was just the right size for me, my wife, the 2 kids, and our dog.

It’s located in a little community of cabins/homes in the woods, but it still felt remote and we never saw another person.

We were lucky enough to get hit with a good amount of snow while we were there which allowed us to test out our snow shoes, build snowmen, and create our own sled run during the day. Playing board games and watching a DVD at night with the fire going was a great way to end the day.

Thanks for a great weekend!
