Photos and Description of this Bridgton holiday cabin

1400 Sq Ft Waterfront Log Home with 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, & Great Amenities

Getaway this holiday season to the only “True” Full Log Home only 12’ft away from the lake. I’ve marked my price down from $400 a night to $300 a night with a 2-night minimum stay. Maximum capacity is 6 guests. Guests include infants, children, teenagers, young adults, and adults. No pets are allowed or any additional guests over the 6 maximum limit.

Whether you’re planning a romantic get-away for two, or looking to create memories that will last a life time, my rustic, newly renovated log home has everything you’re looking for: a quiet, rustic, waterfront, 1,400-square-foot log cabin located in Bridgton, Maine – named one of the best vacation towns by DownEast magazine, and frequent visitor – author Stephen King.

The log cabin is situated only 12' ft away from beautiful Woods Pond and is made of true logs – not the fake log siding you see on many homes in the area. Defying the standard connotation of “pond,” at 2 miles by 3/4 mile, and over 28' deep in the middle, woods pond is ideal for swimming, boating, fishing, and all kinds of recreational water activities. Summer, fall and winter, there's something for everyone to make memories of family fun, relaxation, and experiencing the great outdoors.

The log home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, and living room overlooking the water. With the new renovations, the interior was designed to bring the outdoors inside, with natural stone interior walls, rustic exposed log beams and walls, granite counter tops, and solid hardwood floors throughout. You'll have all amenities, including new stainless steel refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, keurig coffeemaker, washer/dryer, bed linens, bath/kitchen towels, and cooking/eating ware, gas grill outside, monitor gas heaters, new gas fireplaces, flat screen tvs, satellite tv, and a new bose 235 lifestyle system with speakers in nearly every room.

The favorite exterior features are the lake side deck, Jamaican style king size hammock, horse shoe pit, and the custom recessed bonfire pit 6’ from the beach. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck 12' from the water. In summer, soak up some rays in the lounge chairs; then cook seafood on the grill and enjoy dinner around the picnic table. In summer or fall, end your evening sitting in Adirondack chairs, watching the sun set over the lake and then sampling ghost stories and s'mores around the bonfire.

Surrounded by trees and nature, Woods Pond is home to Maine’s most magnificent wildlife: loons, bald eagles, ospreys, black bears, deer, and the most photographed animal - the Maine moose. For the angler, or recreational fisher, woods pond is stocked with large and small mouth bass, rainbow trout, brook trout, salmon, white perch, pickerel, and horn pout. On the property, enjoy your own small private beach for swimming, a the 32’ ft by 6’ft dock used for sunbathing, fishing, or good-naturedly pushing a friend or loved one into the water. Additionally, a boat launch is located nearby on the lake for easy access. The lawn in front of the water is perfect for playing croquet, volleyball, whiffle ball, soccer, or for just throwing around a frisbee.

Why Owner chose Western Maine

This property has been in my family since 1936. Built in two phases, the original camp on the property was one of the first structures on woods pond. In 1936, my grandfather built the summer home's living quarters. The second piece to be added later was a large porch from a storefront in town. To bring the porch to the property, my grandfather and a few friends loaded an ox and sleigh with the porch and traversed across the frozen pond to the property. When spring arrived, they attached the porch to the main structure.

In 1995, my family built the existing log home and I have spent the past 2 years renovating it to make it feel like a true getaway retreat.

What makes this cabin unique

The only log home situated 12' ft away from lake with stunning views.

Newly renovated with state-of-art Bose system and new 1080p HD TVs in every room.

Guestbook comments from the manager

I GIVE IT 5-STARS AND WE STAYED FROM 7-10 NOV. The place was beautiful. Bridgton was a wonderful town to visit and spend time in. Todd is a great person who has put a LOT of work into making this cabin very, very special. It has all the amenities anyone would ever need. And it is peaceful and tranquil. Just a great cabin and experience.

Beautiful Log Home

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful, well crafted log home situated on a picturesque Maine pond. The location is perfect. Set in a quiet corner of the pond, it offers just the right amount of privacy and peacefulness. The home itself is well cared for, clean and the craftsmanship that went into it is beyond reproach.

As for the owner, Todd, I can't say enough. He met us when we arrived, gave us a tour and couldn't have been more welcoming. He also told us that he would give us our space, but would be available for anything we may need.

Overall, this was a perfect mix of great home, great location and great owner.

Thanks again Todd!

Perfect mix of Comfort and Rustic

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic and relaxing time on Woods Pond, and this was the perfect place to enjoy it from. The property is clean, neat and well appointed; and it still has tons of rustic charm which left us feeling connected to the water and nature. The owner is fantastic, walked us through the property and filled us in on the tips for having an enjoyable time in the area. He was also readily available when I had a question about fishing in the area after he had left, and was happy to help out. The nearby town is easily accessible with great food and coffee, and there's a kids playground 5 minutes away at the bottom of the lake that is really neat.

We'll definitely be back!

This was our first trip to Maine, was hoping this location/cabin would be as nice as the pictures showed and description stated, it was! From the kitchen and living area you had a full view of the pond, very relaxing. We got to the property really late, Todd insisted on meeting us there and giving us a walk through despite how late we arrived. He was so pleasant and hospitable, the cabin is spotless and has everything you need. The dock, canoe, fire pit and hammock made outdoor living very enjoyable!! If you are looking for a place to slow down, take in nature but still have all the comforts of home, this cabin is perfect!!! Thanks for sharing it Todd.

Peaceful Maine lake retreat

  • 5 of 5

A perfect retreat for everyone looking for peace, quiet, sunsets, bonfires, swimming, fishing and canoeing. Clearly beat all our already high expectations. Even better than 'advertised', very well maintained. The owner went out of is way to make this a great experience for our family. Everything that makes you 'love Maine'. Looking forward to come back as soon as possible.

At home in Maine, returning again and again.

  • 5 of 5

This is THE place to vacation if you are looking for time on a lake in Maine.

The house is extremely well maintained, clean, with modern conveniences of

granite kitchen and bath , within a charming log cabin. There is a fast WiFi, large satellite TV with DVD player, music system through the house, fireplaces and even a guitar for playing guests.

The view and the beauty of the lake, the surrounding, well maintained, grounds , contribute to a magical stay.

The owner , Todd, takes excellent care , not only of the property, but of the guests, accommodating reasonable requests.

We always regret leaving at the end of vacation, and ensure that we can return again to a place that offers so many options to share with friends and family:

quiet and rest, a swim, canoe ride, an evening fire in the fire pit,

a picnic , a soccer game on the lawn, a nap in the hammock, a deck ....lots of spots to be in the sun or shade.

Easy lake living. We felt at home being there and like a good home we miss it.
