After raising a family in California I moved to Hawaii and found Oahu such a delightful place that I decided to share a piece of my paradise with My guests who would like to enjoy the Island from The Kailua Garden Inn at a reasonable price.
Victoria Abadia purchased this cottage in 2013
Kailua Garden Inn is conveniently located walking distance to a supermarket, movie theater, coffee houses, a variety of restaurants of different nationalities, Greek, Chinese, American, Pizzerias among others. The heart of Kailua Town is one mile away and the world famous beaches are two miles from the cottage. For travelers who choose not to rent a car everything you need is within walking or biking distance and a bus stop is just steps away.
Kailua Garden Inn is located on a side street at the foot of Keolu Hills, a breezy lovely spot that provides a whimsical look of the houses that perch on the skirt of the mountain with beautiful sunrises, for the early riser.
Kailua garden inn was a lovely place to relax without the craziness of tourist life. It was far away enough from the business of the city but close enough to get there if we wanted. It was peaceful and quiet. The flowers were such a nice divide from the neighbors the we felt we were in our own world. Victoria provided all the necessities, which was so nice that we didn't have to pack beach towels or unnecessary weight in our luggage. She was warm and welcoming. She never intruded on us at anytime but was always available when we needed her. She even offered to pick things up for us before we arrived to save us time. Although we didn't take her up on her offer, we appreciate the kind gesture. The only suggestion I would offer is to have a full length mirror otherwise it was a wonderful getaway and I would ABSOLUTELY book it again if we make our way out there again.
had a wonderful time. beautiful place to lodge and spend a weekend at. you have a beautiful garden and home.
The place is central yet situated in a tranquil location and with an absolutely gorgeous view all around. It was by far one of the best places we stayed in. It's very clean, tidy, has everything that you would possibly need and the host is wonderful. We really enjoyed every minute and would love to come here again!
MS.VICTORIA WAS GREAT! PLACE WAS EMACULATE! WE LOVED OUR TIME AND WILL DEFINITELY RETURN! LOVED HER AND HER PLACE! STRONGLY RECOMMEND!
The "cottage" at Kailua Garden Inn feels secluded although located near central Kailua, a short drive to the beach. It is a perfect place for couples who want a quieter experience of Oahu, with easy access to Honolulu (about 20 minute drive) and the north shore. Though small, it has all you need for cooking and dining, and high quality appliances. The sliding glass door and levered windows gave nice breeze flow, and just the ceiling fan was enough to stay cool, though there is air conditioning. The patio with propane grill is a delight with flowering trees and shrubs around. Beach towels, chairs and other items are included. Victoria is warm and helpful, an excellent hostess with good local recommendations. We loved our two week stay, and plan to return again.
Lovely space, well-cared for. So many nice touches. The fruit basket and flowers and the beach equipment were all great. Nice to be so close to the amazing Kailua Beach. Pretty garden by the patio. Victoria was welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay.
