Great Kailua Cottage
I absolutely enjoyed my stay at this cottage. Victoria was a wonderful hostess! When I had questions she was always willing to help me. She was always friendly, kind and I felt very welcome.
The cottage itself was clean and adorable! It had an induction countertop cooker that worked like a charm as I made all of my breakfasts and dinners there. The shower was great, and there was a place to do my laundry that I really appreciated!
I loved the location. It was only 25 or so minutes from Honolulu, and Kailua is so beautiful! I spent every day of my visit driving to Honolulu and when I returned to the cottage the view through the mountains was breathtaking! The cottage location is also near many hikes and beautiful beaches.
If I were to travel back to Oahu, I would definitely stay at Victoria's cottage again!
It is a wonderful, inviting home away from home, except for me, Kailua is where I grew up so it was more like coming home! Absolutely wonderful , inviting place for all to stay! Victoria is a marvelous hostess!!!
Great Hawaiian guest cottage
We had a great time while on Oahu. Victoria was such a wonderful, friendly and helpful host. Always ready to assist if necessary but giving us privacy. The fruit basket was a special treat. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated with a Hawaiian theme. Would love to stay here again.
Great location if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Waikiki city life
Victoria was great. Fully stocked with the necessities (toilet paper, towels, beach towels, pots, pans, coffee filters, soaps, sponge, first aid kit and many other items). Only about 20 minutes from Waikiki and Honolulu when you don't hit traffic. Bed was clean and comfy. Also, a/c kept us comfy at night after a long day out. We would totally stay there again!
Victoria was great. Nicely equipped separate unit. Great offstreet parking.
Just what we were looking for
We totally loved staying at the Kailua Garden Inn. Victoria is absolutely the most wonderful hostess ever! She does everything she can to make it a relaxing stay for those who select her guest house as their lodging. There was a fruit basket and coffee waiting for us upon our arrival and she offered to We were delayed as we didn't know the Pali was closed to traffic. Victoria welcomed us with open arms. Both of us were so pooped and we just wanted to get food and hit the bed since we had been up many hours. She offered to give us a few recommendations.
She showed us her guest area. It is secluded from the main home and very well appointed. You could live there pretty well for a extended period of time. The bed was comfortable, there were additional pillows in the closet, the bathroom large and bright and everything you could need in the kitchen. We made breakfast a few mornings. There is also a grill that we utilized one evening to make some teriyaki chicken and grilled pineapple. Her welcome bowl of fruit was absolutely well picked with lovely tropical fruits. I cannot tell you the last time I enjoyed a banana so very much! We had a papaya one morning. We loved her garden and sat enjoying the trades one evening while just reading. Just nice little touches that made our stay so very nice! She answered any questions we had....as this was our first experience with VRBO, I think we were just pensive to be respectful of her peace and not to be invasive. She is just the very best hostess anyone could wish for!
I didn't realize until a few days in our stay that Victoria has all this lovely art in her guest house and she painted it personally. It caused me to go on a little bit of an art hunt while we were on our vacation. She invited us into her comfortable home on the last day and she has all these beautiful pictures. The birds were absolutely so lovely and she was in the middle of a picture of bamboo that was just amazing. I just cannot say enough about our stay. This was the very best experience we could have had and she her hospitality was much of the reason. We do hope to come back in time. Victoria, you are the very best!
