Beautiful, clean, spacious bungalow in a lovely location

  • 5 of 5

We are just home from a very relaxed break in Kildare. Our hosts were so warm, friendly and helpful. The weather was perfect and we had great day trips to Dublin, Wicklow and Meath - catching up with family. We ate out in Kilcullen and had take away from Calverstown. We are already planning our next trip!!

Wonderful hosts. Wonderful property. Our mouths literally dropped when we arrived at good fortune

  • 5 of 5

Una and Pat our hosts were so much more than we ever anticipated. We had a little trouble finding the cottage. Called Una and she stayed on the phone with us and was out on the road to make sure we couldn’t miss it. They welcomed us into their cottage so warmly with a much needed basket of goodies. Stayed to show us around and how to work the state of art appliances. So clean, plenty of room in this spacious cottage for our party of 5 to be warm and comfortable. The bedding was cozy. We slept well. In fact no one wanted to leave the cottage. But we did want to see Ireland. The cottage is well located to explore all your of Ireland. We went to the cliffs of Mohr, Adare, Killarney, limerick and of course Dublin. It was snowing the day we left. Worried we left early for the airport without the chance to say goodbye to our host in person. They called to check on us to make sure we got to the airport. I am sure we will be back. As it is holds a very special place in our hearts. My son proposed to his girlfriend in the driveway in the snow right before we left. She said YES!! I expect we will see una and Pat again! They have a sign by the front door before you go in the cottage. “Come as strangers, leave as friends.” That says it all. Truly how we felt!

Owner's Response: Thank you Diana, for your great review, we are delighted you and your family enjoyed your stay at Deerpark Cottage as much as you did and your trip to Ireland. We are always thrilled when our guests make the most of our convenient location and get to visit lots of different sites, which you clearly did. Pass on our congratulations to your son and his new fiancée, we wish them all the very best for their future together and perhaps they will return to visit us as husband and wife some day! Thanks also for looking after the cottage so well during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you all back again, on your next trip to Ireland. Thanks again, Úna & Pat

Lovely, comfortable house in peaceful surroundings.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in Deerpark Cottage. The house was spacious, modern, and comfortable and was perfect for our family of four, although it can comfortably sleep six. Pat and Una are very nice, friendly people and were very welcoming. There was plenty of run space outside for our children, the owners' dogs were friendly and entertaining, and the cattle and the lovely views provided a true rural experience. Kilcullen village is conveniently located, just a few minutes drive away.

Immaculate home in a delightful location

  • 5 of 5

We have just had a fantastic stay at Deerpark Cottage. It is beautifully presented and in a perfect location. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and furnished to a high standard. The kitchen was very well equipped. The views are most impressive and lovely to wake up to and return to after a day out exploring. A good choice of pubs/ shops and take aways within an easy drive. Una and Pat are a lovely friendly couple who made us feel most welcome and wanting to return for another visit. We would highly recommend this property for any groups of family and friends.

The racecourses of Punchestown, The Curragh and Naas are also close by.

For the golfers, Rathsallagh is a ten-minute drive and The K Club (Host to the Ryder Cup 2006) is 20 min drive away. We are situated a short drive to the beautiful Wicklow mountains, where there are countless hill walking trailing in Wicklow National
Park including the famous Wicklow Way.
