Bedrooms 3
Space 2,000 sq ft
Property type chateau / country house
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

3 bedroom 3 bath sleeps 6 fantastic long range lake and mountian views

Here nature is abundant and the serene sounds of the lake are just about 35 ft from the back door. With trees on both sides of the property, Quiet Cove is very secluded and lives up to its name. Beautiful glass windows in the kitchen/den area bring the lake inside, and just off the kitchen is a sunroom/dining area with more windows to enjoy the long-range lake and mountain views. There is a wonderful deck off the sunroom with a grill and chairs. Back inside there is a black iron spiral staircase handcrafted by the Menonnite's to take you downstairs to the gameroom/den where there is a Foosball table, pool table TV/DVD/VCR and a fireplace to warm those chilly evenings. Just off the basement door is a patio area great for sunbathing or taking in the evening sunsets. From there it is a very gentle slope to the water of only about 35 to 40 ft. It is perfect for small children. There at the water's edge is a private boat dock with boat slip and sunbathing deck just waiting for your use. Our home is located approximately 5 minutes from the Historic Town of Dandridge. We are also approximately 5 miles from Interstate 40 exit #417 making our home very convenient to anywhere you want to go. Please enjoy our home and make some memories that will last a lifetime.

We LOVED Quiet Cove

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED our stay at Quiet Cove. With 3 small children (all under 6) the slope into the water was perfect for them to play in with buckets and toys. We loved the great room downstairs to relax and play games. The big laundry area was nice to have also. We rented a boat and the dock was great and lake was beautiful to ride around on. We fished off the dock every day and caught a lot of sunfish. We would definitely go back again. My only small complaint would be that the grass leading down to the water was a little high, which made it harder for the kids to navigate down. But we could have been there right before it was supposed to be mowed. All in all a great place!

Blast at Quiet Cove

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to Douglas Lake. We truly enjoyed the home and lake. The photos do not do it justice. The home is beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The lake is just as beautiful and has lots of coves for swimming or fishing. My kids absolutely loved swimming at dock by house.

Manager of property was great to work with, answered any questions we had.

Wonder home with a wonderful view.

  • 4 of 5

We loved having a rolling slope down to a boat dock right in the backyard.. So nice to come & go as you please by boat. We also had a great time with our kayaks there. Nice gas grill for enjoying dinner by waterfront. It was also nice we were able to take our small dog with us. We enjoyed relaxing in the adirondack chairs out back enjoying the view. It truly is quiet at Quiet Cove ! Very peaceful & relaxing.

Wonderful family vacation.

  • 5 of 5

A great family vacation property. The house is in great shape, comfortable, clean, very well maintained, and the furniture and beds are very comfortable. I was surprised that linens and bath towels were included...not many vacation rentals provide these and they were high quality. Outside: very nice patio, dock, deck with wonderful views of the lake and mountains. Easy access to the lake and the water is clean and refreshing. My kids are older, but it would be a great place for a family with smaller children. Nice yard and slopes to water/lake.I would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants a relaxing family vacation. The property manager was attentive, efficient, friendly, and provided timely responses to all of my questions...very nice person. The grocery store is 5 minutes away and is a very nice store with good prices. The boat rental marina is 5 minutes in the other direction and provides bass boats, jet skis, and pontoon boats. The house is conveniently located and on a private waterfront lot. Best of both worlds. The fishing is good...bass, crappie, sunfish, catfish. We stayed 13-20 July 2014, and didn't want to leave. We take an annual family vacation every year and stay at a different lake each year. This house/property is by far my favorite out of them all and we plan to return. Also, this rental is pet friendly, which is important to me...I don't go anywhere without my Buddy dog...she's family, too. I give this house and property 5 stars.

Special place on Douglas Lake

  • 4 of 5

As a family of 6 wanting a good place on the waterfront we found Quiet Cove to be just right... Access to our boat at the dock provided was really easy... just down 100 feet from the house. Very clean and nice rooms, well-maintained inside and out, and well-appointed kitchen. Kids loved the spiral staircase to the downstairs. Less than 10 minutes drive to Dandridge, a cool little town. Highly recommended by all of us. The manager, Melissa, was super responsive and helpful, making things quite smooth. Give it a try! We would stay again.
