I thought the property was beautiful! It is very well looked after and very lovely. I did get a little confused as I thought it had 4 bedrooms but it has two bedrooms and then two pull out couch/beds but easily slept 4 of us and has a very cute little nook that has been converted to a small single bed for kids.

beautiful rural location surrounded by birds, but only a very short distance to the centre of town.

beautiful rural location surrounded by birds, but only a very short distance to the centre of town. The house was very homely with plenty of space and warm, great fire! My only disappointment was we were counting on using the BBQ for a 21st dinner but there was no gas and it was dirty.

There were already carpet stains but we did knock over a glass of red wine.

There were already carpet stains but we did knock over a glass of red wine. Which we cleaned. However, I came home to a shouting rant on my answer phone from Tracey. She was complaining they had to clean it, we had paid $80 cleaning fee!!! Tracey said rubbish, dishes etc left everywhere. Not true, Tracey said she'd email me photos, still waiting 2 wks later. The house was great, Tracey was not. What is the $80 for Tracey? Dishes done, rubbish taken by us, I wonder what the problem really is?

Owner's Response: My cleaners are great workers and no one is shy to get stuck in we dont avoid work. This is not about the work this is about the way you came to Akaroa and disrepected some one elses home. I decieded not to send the photos after i spoke to the home owner and we decided it wasnt worth the time as it wasnt going to do anything and i couldnt be bothered explaining myself to someone who wasnt about to except anything. The home owner is seeking insurance for the carpert soda water dosent work!
