The Creamery is situated in the leafy town of Tai Tapu, which is about 20min from Central Christchurch and the airport. The district is renown for its history and ambience, and is a popular location for cycling and golf.
The guest cottage is a converted creamery built in 1875 and is separate from our family home, and is set amongst our garden and pottages.
It is very well appointed. The Bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed, ensuite and the french doors opening to the verandah and gardens.
The lounge has an antique couch/bed, which can sleep additional guests if required and the kitchen has a small oven, hotplates, and fridge. There is also a barbeque on the verandah.
The local cafe, which has excellent food is a 2min drive or a relaxing 10min walk, and the tavern is just a little further.
Wireless internet is provided.
The Creamery is one suite of our boutique lodge and can be viewed on taitapulodge.com
The Creamery is a cottage seperate to our home. Smoking is only permitted outside of the building.
In the lounge there is an antique couch / bed for an additional guest.
Extras: Linen (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;
The Creamery is a lovely batch. My partner and myself stayed there for almost 2 months for business and we had a great time.
The property hasn't been damaged by earthquakes.
It is a great place to enjoy nature, close to the city and to beautiful Akaroa. Great for relaxing. I totally recommend it for those who want to enjoy Christchurch but don't want to stay in the CBD.
A plus, it is close to great cafes such as the raspberry cafe.
Will definately go back there next time.
