The cottage is beautiful!

The cottage is beautiful! Spotlessly clean, quality interiors and tastefully decorated, not to mention located on a little slice of rural living heaven! If you're looking to get out of the city for the weekend and enjoy some fresh air and stunning views, the Anderson's cottage is certainly where you want to look!

Great location to visit Hobbiton , Rotorua, Auckland, Cormandal. The cottage is on a sheep farm which was a really nice experience, my husband fed a lamb, how cool is that! The cottage is very nice, comfortable bed, and there are lots of tourist brochures to help you decide what to visit. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Thanks Malcom and Pam

Wonderful Experience!

We spent 4 fabulous nights in this amazing cottage! Pam and Malcolm are excellent hosts. Pam gave us great advice before and during our stay. Malcolm took us on a memorable tour of the 1,000 acre farm in his 4-Wheel drive - a highlight of our trip. We used Anderson cottage as a base to tour the area including Rotorua and the Glow Worm Caves. The cottage is at the end of a country road in a secluded location next to Pam and Malcolm's home - it was so quiet and the stars at night were not what us "city-folk" are used to - such a beautiful setting.

Pam & Malcolm are like family, and their farm is incredible!

Secluded spot but perfectly centrally located. It was the ideal location for our 30th anniversary in April 2014. Thought we had written this review shortly after our return to the U.S., but it didn't save on website. OOPS! Pam and Malcolm gave us our privacy yet went out of their way to provide all the information we needed. Over our short stay we developed a wonderful relationship with them and enjoyed a property tour, some (requested) tutoring on sheep and cattle ranching, and the closest fellowship we could imagine in such a short time.

The location allowed us to go to Hobbiton, several waterfalls and beaches, along with some amazing treks (hikes). We hiked and had picnics on their property (IT'S HUGE AND PICTURESQUE!). The amazing sunrises and sunsets made awesome photos! Hamilton Gardens is a must see. Getting to see our first professional rugby match in Hamilton; we are now hooked for life! The Zedong tea house was interesting, and the Auckland War museum had a lot of great WW II and Maori exhibits, along with a live Maori performance. And all of these things were available within an easy drive!

The cabin was outfitted perfectly, with a VERY comfortable bed, perfect shower with great pressure, clothes washer and drying rack and a kitchenette that allowed us to dine in when we weren't enjoying one of the many delicious cafes and restaurants. Comfortable porch made for hours of enjoyment and Pam's garden is beautiful!

There are so many positives that it's impossible to mention them all, but we WILL be returning! We became so close with Malcolm and Pam so quickly, we felt like family. We love you two, and can't wait to see you again soon! Thanks for making our 30th our most cherished! We love you guys! Mike & Suzie
