About the property

Bach or holiday home, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 6)

Enjoy panoramic views while reading from the sunny deck or luxuriating in the spa bath. Wake to the bellbird's song. Relax while strolling through the native bush, in which our spacious, well appointed home is nestled, or while beachcombing or fishing from the jetty.

If you want activity - it's available! Only 7 minutes wander to the beach - swimming, kayaking and any manner of water fun. A 20 minute stroll and you arrive at the world famous Queen Charlotte walkway - a walker's, jogger's and mountain biker's playground.

Our home is a convenient base to explore this stunning area. A 30 minute drive, or 10 minute water taxi, takes you to peaceful Picton. In 40 minutes you can sample internationally renowned vintages on the Malborough Wine Trail. Nelson and the outer Sounds are within easy driving distance.

Our house is more a home then a bach. It's elevation assures stunning views from most rooms. The property is split level with a few steps leading to the main entrance so it may be difficult access for those less mobile or very young.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

Fabulous property, perfectly situated and incredibly well designed and built to make the most of a beautiful, tranquil setting. Set within beautifully cared for gardens which afford lots of options for outdoor living while inside the home everything has been well designed and cared for. I would not hesitate to return as this is definitely one of the best baches I have ever stayed in. The photos do not do it justice. There is much more space than we expected and spectacular views.

An outstanding property.

An outstanding property. It is hard to motivate tourists to be tourists when they just want to stay at the bach. A stunning part of the world and just the property to go with it.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to stay in such a lovely location. Amazing views, enjoyed the jetty and saw big sting rays, most enjoyable time, wanted to stay longer :-)

Wow what a surprise.

Wow what a surprise. This bach is exceptional. Once there we didn't want to leave. Had Christmas lunch at Spinnakers restaurant in Picton. Highly recommend the food, location and friendly staff.

This Bach was the highlight of our 3 weeks in NZ and we will definitely recommend it to others.
