Overview

Photos and Description of this Martinborough holiday house

Bach or holiday home, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 9)

With classic styling and wrap around verandas, this villa has been designed for relaxing country weekends. The generous open plan living area covers the entire east end of the house. The rooms are generously proportioned with high ceilings, plenty of windows and numerous sets of French doors opening on to the verandah.

Perfectly positioned to make the most of the sun, the house is cool in summer and warm in winter. The axial hallway opens up to a substantial open plan kitchen, dining and living area, which covers the entire east end of the house. The kitchen is well equipped with gas hobs, dish drawers, microwave and there?s plenty of bench space. Sink in to a comfy leather chair for a good holiday read or enjoy a glass of wine in front of the open fire.

Extras: Cleaning (included); Linen (included); 10% to guests @ Martinborough Wine Merchants (included);

Suitability:
  • children welcome

Lovely spacious house.

Lovely spacious house. Well appointed. However the oven wasn't cleaned and no pillowcases on our bed was disappointing when everything else was so good.

Owner's Response: HI Kate Thanks for your on-line feedback to let us know. I really do wish that you had contacted me when you discovered this. As I noted when I sent your reservation voucher - "Please remember, if there is anything amiss or if there is something else that you might like our help with, esp. during your stay, please don?t hesitate to contact me." I would have asked the housekeeper to pop by to remedy this straight away. Or called in myself... :-)

The property is great but maintaining it for use as rented accommodation no longer seems a priority

  • 3 of 5

The property is great but maintaining it for use as rented accommodation no longer seems a priority (for the previous or the new owner?). Wrong code provided to gain access, so a delay. House was dusty, especially window sills with dead flies all over them. Infinity gas had run out so the first night we had cold showers. No supplies in the kitchen - no milk, not one teabag or any coffee. Things needed fixing, the fireplace was full of ash and there were bags of rubbish left on the porch!

Loved the rural setting and the room to breath. The house was lovely and warm, and the kitchen was great for cooking.

very nice bach and we enjoyed our stay there. Well appointed and equipped and plenty of space for the seven of us. A great place for a family stay over the Easter weekend.
