Are you looking to relax in a modern and comfortable space? Tired of the cobwebs and dated decor you've found in most weekly rentals? Spend your Cape Cod vacation in our fully renovated and absolutely beautiful Cape Cod home. Enjoy easy access to all that the National Seashore has to offer with walking paths, freshwater ponds, Salt Pond, and the famous Coast Guard Beach practically at your doorstep. Explore the Cape Cod Rail Trail on bike, blade, or foot - conveniently just around the corner. Take a long walk below the dunes of Nauset Light before a quiet dinner at a selection of nearby restaurants; local seafood, piping hot pizza, classic American, and authentic South African are all within a two minute's drive. Venture south to Orleans for some live music or north to Wellfleet for harbor-side oysters. Our home is located on a private road in a quiet residential neighborhood but is just a short hop to everything: art, beaches, excellent dining, shopping, and adventures. Pop in the water to surf or kayak, watch the seals, or head out on a paddle board - the outer Cape is yours to explore, with the outdoor shower waiting for you when it's time to rinse off!

Looking for a quiet retreat? Curl up on the couch with a book, pop open a bottle of wine, or relax on the deck or in a hammock (we have three!) When the cool evening sea breeze rolls in, gather around the fire pit and lean back to watch for falling stars. Situated on just under an acre, we have fenced-in nearly half of the property and are a dog-friendly rental (please contact for details). Bringing the kids? The property abuts the local elementary school playground, has a tree-house with 2 slides and nearby access to a freshwater pond, and plenty of space to play.

With two bedrooms on the first floor connected by a full-bath, the upstairs en-suite Master is private and comfortable. The first floor features an open-layout with tall ceilings, two bedrooms (the Cherry and Surf rooms), both a full and half bath, easy access to the outdoor shower, and beautiful views of the yard on all sides. Upstairs is our Master Suite with tons of space, an en-suite bathroom with huge tile shower, and peeks of the pond to the south. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, full refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, and a double sink. Enjoy a DVD in the evening or access your streaming accounts on the Smart TV, or watch the major networks on our basic cable plan. No need to worry about staying connected: we have wireless internet free of charge.

Looking to beat the summer heat? Enjoy the central AC and shady yard. Visiting in the off-season? Enjoy the south-facing deck or stone patio for delightful afternoon sun before you toss dinner on the Weber gas grill. You won't find a nicer house in our price range, so why wait? Book your Cape Cod vacation today!

Have questions? Don't hesitate to ask! We'll reply promptly to all inquiries.

(Please note: The cleaning fee is an additional $250. We are a pet-friendly property, limited to 2 dogs per rental for an additional $105 per dog. Bookings are confirmed based on 50% deposit).

Payments are processed through VRBO only.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Is your house on a busy road?
A: No! In fact, we are located on a dirt/gravel road and very little traffic passes by.

2. Where is the best parking for Rail Trail Access?
A: Our driveway! It is less than 1/2 mile to the Rail Trail from the house, and you will not need to cross a major road for access. (The trail crossing is Old Orchard Road, next to Arnold's Restaurant.) There is also parking at various stops all along the trial, the closest being Arnold's Restaurant)

3. Can we swim in the pond nearby?
A: Absolutely! The pond is, in fact, two connected ponds: Minister and Schoolhouse ponds. There is a convenient access to a sandy landing within a short walk (either on the road or through the woods, but beware of poison ivy!) The ponds are also a lovely place for a short paddle, canoe, or kayak. We do recommend that you check the town of Eastham website for information on algae/cyanobacteria blooms in the summer if you or your dogs will be swimming.

4. We love to cook; is your kitchen fully stocked?
A: We have provided everything you will need to prepare meals, from basic hotdogs on the grill to a five-course gourmet meal, you'll have what you need! Plenty of pots and pans, knives, utensils, and serving ware are provided. We've stocked the house as a home (because that is what it is!) We have also provided travel hot/cold mugs, a beach cooler, pitchers for lemonade or sangria, and much more! A blender, electric mixer, and bread machine are all available for your use.

5. Will the fence keep my dog in?
A: Of course every dog is different, but our fence is dog tested, dog approved by our yellow lab and husky/pointer mix (not to mention countless furry friends). The fence is split-rail style with vinyl-covered metal garden fence stapled up to 3.5 feet high on all sides. Only you know your dog's habits and abilities, so please use your best judgment if you have a ''jumper'' or an escape artist!

6. What size are the beds?
A. We have 2 twins (singles) and 2 Queens. We also have a twin air mattress and a queen air mattress if needed.

7. We don't want to bring sheets and towels - what are our options?
A. We recommend renting from Cape Cod Linen Rental for all of your linen and beach equipment needs.

8. What do you have at the house for my kids?
A. We're parents too! Our kiddoe is happy to share her toys, books, and puzzles! As she has grown our toy selection has evolved but you're likely to find plenty to keep your family happy. The stairs are gated at the top and bottom, and you'll find plastic bowls and cups in the kitchen cabinets.

9. And how about for my dogs?
A. We have several dog bowls at the house, as well as leashes and pick-up bags in case you forget yours. You'll find dog treats in a glass case on the kitchen island shelves and a tennis ball or two in the yard. We do have a crate for a medium sized dog if you need one.

10. Does the rental include a beach pass?
A. While we are not able to offer a "transferable" beach pass for each rental, the Eastham Sticker office is just down the street and a pass does save you money. Please refer to the town's office directly for more information.

Great property for a family trip!
The house was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The swing set was a bonus that entertained our kids. We had such a relaxing time, we didn't want to leave! Thanks to the hosts for letting us into and trusting us with their home.

Great house for family in Eastham
Our family stayed here for a week in June (adults in 30s to 60's, plus a 5 year old and infant) and dogs. The house is exactly as pictured. The main room is a great gathering place and the screened in porch is a where we spent a lot of our time. The yard is HUGE and the dogs loved it. There is an amazing swingset/jungle gym in the yard that the kids loved. Owners were very accommodating and communicative. Kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, tupperware, etc. Great location. We biked to the Coast Guard Beach and Kingsbury Beach and various biking paths. If you are fit, you can get around without a car. One thing to be aware of, the upstairs bedroom which is where the master bedroom is doesn't have a door (more of a loft style).

Best Cape Escape
We had the most wonderful time visiting the Cape and staying in Jackie's home. From the moment we booked until we checked out, Jackie was a responsive and gracious host. She was kind, responsive, helpful and welcoming. And, her beautiful home is just perfect. It has everything you need. We took advantage of every aspect her home has to offer from the quick access to the ocean and bay sides of the Cape (via car or bike) to the use of family toys, the yard, the fire pit, the kitchen and the awesome screened in porch. It was truly perfect for us and we can't wait to return.

About the host

Hosted by Jackie O'Rourke

Host profile image
Jackie is a "native" Cape Codder, born and raised in Orleans, where her parents still live. Devon is a "wash-a-shore" from Ontario who quickly fell in love with the Outer Cape. We are "year 'rounders" who are lucky to spend the summers just down the road in Orleans. Jackie is an educational consultant and Devon is a research scientist. In 2015 we welcomed a daughter into the family, Finnoula Rose, and you'll see her influence in the house (plenty of toys and books to share). We built our home for us but decided to rent it out during the famous cape rental season so that we can share our beautiful property with other families and our love for the Cape with visitors from near and far. We love to help others enjoy our home and the Cape, so please feel free to reach out with questions as you plan your vacation.

Why they chose this property

Enjoy the quiet and privacy of a dirt road in the small town of Eastham. We are easy to get to and just a short drive from all of the Cape's attractions. Come home from a busy day to a quiet yard and plenty of space. If you love the Rail Trail, enjoy riding out of the driveway and just under 1/2 mile to the trail - no need to pack up and park elsewhere. Beat the traffic to Provincetown - you're already half way there!

What makes this property unique

You will breathe a little easier as you take in the morning breeze on the deck to the tune of the birds and plan your day of sun and fun. Hate the long salty drive back from the beach? We're just minutes away from Coast Guard and Nauset Light, so leave the soggy wait in traffic to someone else. Enjoy the conveniences of home - this rental is far from sparse and exceptionally comfortable.
