The property boast 2 separate levels for multiple family use. Children are welcome.
The beach is a short 4 blocks away and West Beach is a short drive away.
It was a nice play to stay. Everything is as Rebecca describes. Marquette Park down the street is gem.
We had 5 adults and four young children and it was the perfect size for us. The house is clean and cozy. The bedrooms are comfortable, and the kids especially loved one of the basement rooms with the pull-out bed and Christmas lights. The basement also has a large space for watching movies and playing games. There are also two large decks and a yard for your children to run around in with tables and chairs for al fresco dining if you please.
Location-wise, it's very convenient. The house is next to Marquette Park and is walking distance or a very very short drive to beaches. There are a few good places to eat around and groceries if you prefer cooking (the kitchen is pretty well-equipped).
Lastly, Rebecca is such a great host. Very communicative and thoughtful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The house is clean, cute and well-cared for. The kitchen has everything you could want. Access to the house was straightforward. I didnt meet Rebecca, but she responded promptly to my communications and left several nice, personal touches such as a personalized welcome upon our arrival. There are several nice places to sit, socialize, play games etc-- even a fish tank. More tvs than any household could possibly want. 2 windowless basement rooms are decorated tastefully and comfortably. I slept in one of these and it was all good. Walk to the beach in a few blocks and the beaches are endless, sparsely populated. The swimming was great and refreshing with a unique view of industrial Gary with the Chicago skyline in the distance on a clear day. Somewhat otherwordly and just the kind of thing I like. The neighborhood was quiet and Miller is a nice place to walk or ride a bike. I have vacationed in Miller Beach several times and enjoy its low-key, ambiance with nature abounding and the city right next door. If you eat at the Beach Cafe, the cevaps (Eastern European sausage without a casing) were fabulous.
Our family of five spent two nights in the weekend. We found the property very clear and well stocked. Everything we needed were provided (beach towels, chairs, and a cart, grills, seasonings, etc). Enjoyed the stay!
This property is located in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood. We had ten family members for a our reunion....it was perfect. The listing description and pictures are accurate and there are plenty of nice amenities. There are plenty of comfortable beds and the bedrooms are a good size. There was a good supply of towels for both showers and the beach for everyone. We were also pleasantly surprised at the availability of beach chairs, sand toys, umbrellas and even a wagon to carry all the gear. There is a very nice beach just a few blocks from the house. The two levels gave everyone plenty of room and privacy. This lovely home is very clean and comfortable, and we all loved the "beach house" theme throughout the house. There was plenty of room in the family room and dining room and the carport patio was fun for evening entertaining with plenty of space and seating. I enjoyed the nice deck off the master bedroom for quiet morning coffee. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing large meals with plenty of dishes, glasses, utensils and large pots and pans. Rebecca was great and very quick to respond before, during and following our stay. This house is fabulous and I would definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed out stay at Juniper Berry Place. We used it to house out extended family during our sons wedding and it was large enough to house 10.
It is very close to the beach and well furnished and appointed. Anything you would possibly need is furnished, including beach cart, chairs, and misc. items. Communication with the owner, Rebecca, was always fast and courteous. We highly recommend this home for your stay.
