What a treat!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 12 lovely days here. The lake is a thrill to experience in calm and storm. You can easily hear the waves lapping the shoreline or the thundering surf from the house. Such a lovely way to fall asleep. The freighters are amazing, and you may experience an episode of the border patrol as we did. Make sure to have a good pair of binoculars or a spitting scopeon hand, it is something to watch the pilot climb down the side of a freighter to get back to his pilot boat. While the water is a tad cold in mid June, it is very refreshing on hot days.

The living room is very comfortable. An the kitchen is a dream. The sink faces the sliding glass doors which look out on the lake. Makes cooking and dish washing down right enjoyable.

If you are looking for a lake friendly place this is it. And don't forget to have a fire or two on the beach! Looking forward to coming back next year!

A Relaxing Piece of Heaven!

  • 5 of 5

My two girlfriends and I stayed at Aaron's place during Memorial Day week. It's a great house with a huge patio overlooking beautiful Lake Huron. It was so very relaxing listening to the waves and watching the boat/freighter action. A newly refurbished kitchen made cooking a breeze. The only thing I would add is a cutting board and one good chopping knife. If you're brave enough to go in the water I would suggest swim shoes to get past the rocks at the shore line. It's just a small amount and after that it's sand and is shallow for quite a ways (great for kids!). We will definitely be back!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with 6 friends for a long weekend, and it was perfect. The house is spacious (perhaps even more so than it appears in the photos). It can easily sleep much more than that and the Clarks clearly take good care of the house and their guests. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet beach-side house that's just a short drive from the Detroit area.

Perfect House on the Lake

  • 5 of 5

Aaron's house was beautiful. The kitchen was great, the view was amazing, and the sleeping options were perfect for our group of girls. It was so enjoyable to sit on the deck and grill some food in the sun overlooking the water. My only request would be to have the place stocked with a few more "essentials" - we had to go get more toilet paper as there were only two rolls when we arrived - and we didn't find any basic cooking supplies (plastic wrap/foil, pepper, cutting board, only 1 dishwasher packet). We assumed it was because we were probably one of the first guests of the season. Overall a great place though, we would definitely stay here again!
