Relax in this privately owned beach front villa once part of the Golden Lemon Inn as seen on the 'Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous'. Here an unhurried way of life remains the norm, and vacationers from around the world are able to catch a glimpse of two islands relatively uncorrupted by the bustle of modern life. This one bedroom villa sits ocean front on Dieppe Bay. Enjoy breathtaking views of Saba, St. Eustatius, St Barts, St Maarten and Anguilla from your private sun deck . Elegantly furnished with a mix of 18th and 19th century antiques. Vaulted ceilings, living room, wet bar, kitchen and den. Refresh yourself in your 20 x 15 swimming pool.
Quaint fishing village on the North side of the island. Lots of new venues opening 2015.
Black sand beach protected by a live coral reef. Hiking trails to the volcano Lliamagu. Lots of attractions within a short distance.
My husband John and I are disabled veterans. We have been happily married for 28 years. We love traveling. Keyhouse Villa is our favorite spot in the world! We have been landlords for over 20 years. It is important to us to have your stay memorable! We do our best to meet or exceed your expectations! We take pride in ownership!
Suzanne & John purchased this villa in 2006
We chose this property to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Dieppe Bay is a quaint fishing village with the most wonderful people! Enjoy this tranquil beach front Villa. Listen to the waves that sound like rain fall as the Atlantic swells hit the coral reef just off the deck! Enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunsets from the deck!
Our property is unique in that we have the benefits of the Atlantic Ocean to our right as well as the Caribbean Sea to our left! Our deck has the vantage point of canterlevering over the ocean where you can cast the fishing pole we have supplied and catch some Mahi-Mahi, Red Snapper or Gar. The local fisherman can help with that if you don't catch anything! Maybe some fresh Rock Lobster sounds good! They're right there in the reef!
The dormant volcano is directly behind us and is a great days hike into the rain forest!
We overlook the live reef with waves crashing over them in many different directions just a short short swim off our deck! There are 4 sets of snorkel gear , 3 boogie board and a fishing pole , walking sticks to hike the volcano, 2 portable beach sand chairs, 2 lounge chairs, 2 beach blankets, and a cooler for your use while staying with us!
We have been in American Way, American Airlines magazine, Vogue and Town and Country Magazines! Enjoy our little slice of paradise!
We have plantation shutter doors. The kitchen and dining are open air. Just doing dishes while looking at the reef feels luxurious! We supply containers and refrigerator for your food items.
The bedroom is Air Conditioned for your comfort although the temperature on St Kitts doesn't fluctuate too much, 80s to low 90s year round with an average of 84.
Let me first say that the pictures cannot even begin to do justice the view that you have at the Keyhouse. You are literally on the ocean -- one of, if not the best, porch/deck on the entire island. It is genuinely divine; you get to sit over the ocean every morning while enjoying your cup of coffee, breakfast, etc. and soak up the sun.
To give you context, we were two honeymooners that came from Chicago to have a honeymoon escape and it couldn't have been better for us. Being in our mid-20s, we are perhaps a bit more adventurous than most but the main ingredients for our selection were privacy (you have plenty of that), sunshine (again, it has that in spades) and close to the ocean (and we were blown away with how were literally over the water).
When you first arrive to St. Kitts, and if you take a taxi like we did, don't waste time getting car the next day. We got our car the next day and it is by far the best investment if you truly want to experience the island. My wife and I can say without a doubt that we explored every inch of the island and each day could return back to our private Oasis in Dieppe Bay.
We strongly recommend, in addition to renting a car, taking up Cena's offer to cook dinner for you one night. Not only is she such a delight (and luxury to have come by to clean the houses/linens), she is an unbelievable cook.
The Keyhouse is the ultimate experience for those that want a piece of paradise and have an appetite to explore. You'll be able to truly experience the island in its fullest in Dieppe Bay; Suzanne is extremely responsive and this is coming from someone who has rented multiple, multiple times through Homeaway. Whether it was for Spring Break, reunions, etc. -- I have used Homeaway, VRBO etc for a variety of trips and Suzanne has been the best owner of a property I have rented by far.
If you have any hesitation, don't. It's a great investment, beautiful scenery, and serene environment. Thanks Suzanne, Cena and Michael for making this an unforgettable honeymoon.
We always prefer to stay in a place where you might get to know local people and self-cater.
The morning and evening views from the 'deck' were stunning and we spent simply hours watching pelicans diving for fish.
We had a 3 day stay at this lovely little villa. House is right on the water so you feel like you are a part of the sea. Waves crashing all night are awesome. The town itself is a bit small so you have to be able to drive around in order to see things. Chef is the houseman who happens to be a great cook as well. Our family enjoyed a terrific Caribbean dinner cooked by Chef in the house. He also took us on an adventure where we climbed up a mountain outside Dieppe Bay. Views were amazing! Great visit!
Had the most amazing vacation. Ate most of my meals sitting on the deck listening to the waves crash below was more than I could have imagined. I paid a little extra to have Chef come in a cook for us which was totally worth it he is a great cook and I would definitely suggest everyone try it. Went on a couple fun excursions which I had a wonderful time. The all day cat trip was a great experience with snorkeling and a fabulous local cuisine. I also went on Groupon before my trip and scored a great discount to swim with the dolphins which was something I will never forget. I loved every minute of my trip and will definitely be coming back.
We enjoyed are stay here very much. My wife and I enjoy staying at places that are relaxing and quiet.
We could not have stayed at a better place for that aspect. We loved the deck over the ocean what a view, we ate breakfast ther every morning. Chef was very helpful as are plane was delayed and we could not get are rental car so he helped us take the local bus to Bullseye car rental and then took us grocery shopping.
We also used Chef to cook dinner for us 4 nights food was excellent and the view outstanding ( we basically lived on the deck).
There was an issue with the AC and Suzanne quickly had it taken care of.
If you are looking for a place that if away from all the crowds this is the place for you.
We did use the rental car to explore the island which is easy to navigate but returned every afternoon to enjoy the deck and dinner,
Thanks for a great vacation
Good snorkeling only feet away with caretaker Chef there to meet our every need, we took local busses and enjoyed the people and the island. The owners were also most helpful. Even the monkeys greeted us. Fun time!
We are located in a quaint sleepy fishing village!
