'This charming, cozy neighborhood located in the heart of downtown Baltimore is an important cultural and ethnic icon for the city. Nestled between the Inner Harbor and historic Fells Point, millions of people annually visit Little Italy to dine at its almost 30 restaurants, watch outdoor movies, participate in bocce tournaments, attend Italian festivals, worship at its Italian parish, partake in Italian language and cultural classes, attend ravioli dinners, go to the Sons of Italy lodge, or simply stroll through the friendly narrow streets to experience a bit of the sapore and ambiente of the old country, Italia.
Located near other quaint Baltimore neighborhoods like Canton, Federal Hill, Fells Point and Harbor East, Little Italy is reachable by car, water taxi, subway, and just a short walk from the Inner Harbor.'

Recently, two very dear friends of mine and I fell in love with an enchanting row house in Baltimore's Little Italy. I daydreamed about it, walked around the neighborhood and discovered wonderful Italian restaurants, an amazing bakery, the cutest wine bar ever, the waterfront promenade and on and on! Each time I turned a corner there was more. Then!!!! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better--I discovered a Starbucks, Whole Foods, movie theater and incredible shopping along the Inner Harbor only two blocks away!
So my dear friends and I bought that cutie-pie house and turned it into an elegant corporate and family retreat /super-cool pied a terre.
Susan Colwell purchased this house in 2014
This is such a WONDERFUL area of Baltimore. It's like stepping back in time. The neighborhood is charming, safe and lovely— chock full of wonderful Italian restaurants, even a cozy little wine bar and popular bakery. There are tons of festivals and events in this neighborhood and in the summer time, they even play an outdoor movie (Friday nights) and all the neighbors bring their lawn chairs. It's just magical.
The property was built in 1850 and is so charming and cozy with it's exposed brick and good energy that it makes you want to burrow in, read a book or watch movies and unwind. But with all the shopping, dining and the Inner Harbor only steps away, the city draws you out. I also paid close attention to the comfort of the beds and house amenities like coffee, tea, sugar, hand soap, etc. All the little extras that make a home away from home feel functional and homey. I hope you enjoy what we've done!
House is well appointed and surprisingly clean. We had a wonderful stay and we would definitely book this house again.
The Little Italy Charmer was a perfect fit for our family of 6 adults and 2 small children. There was plenty of living space as well as very comfortable sleeping space for all of us (everyone got a real bed). The property was clean and had everything that we needed to make our Christmas stay enjoyable. The location is fantastic, near the Inner Harbor, aquarium, Port Discovery children's museum, restaurants, and shopping. The owners/managers - Susan and Marcia were very responsive to our every request and got back to us promptly whenever we had a question. We would definitely rent the property again if we are in Baltimore for an event.
The property was very clean. Management very responsive with communication. Great location. Would stay again.
The home was clean, well furnished and had plenty of room for 2 families with a total of 12 people. The kitchen had everything we needed and the wifi supported everyone's needs.
The home is in a nice section of town within walking distance to many shoppes, Resturants and attractions. Parking on the street was easy and there's is a nearby parking garage for busier times of day.
We highly recommend this property.
