Just one block back from the sea with footpath access to one of the most expansive, beautiful yet near deserted beaches in the whole Bay.Collingwood is 15mins away if you turn left and the magical Milnethorpe Reserve is to the right. Why not take a dip,the swimming here is super safe.
Yes, we are pet friendly,by arrangement, so why not bring your dog or even your horse,(extra charge for a horse) we have a couple of paddocks and a float,it is a fantastic beach for riding.
Being equidistant between Takaka and Farewell Spit we are in the ideal location to explore the whole Bay and beyond.Down the Aorere Valley past the historic Gold Fields and on to the Heaphy Track, you could stop and have a coffee at the famous Langford Store.Up to Farewell Spit and the spectacular Wharariki Beach or further experience the West coast down past the Westhaven Inlet and on to the Anatori River.
Collingwood has several dining and refreshment options and don't forget Rosy Glow Chocolate Emporium. You could have a look round the museum or join the Farewell Spit tour from here.

Great place to stay, you have your own space and views are amazing. Outdoor kitchen/bathrooms well exceeded expectations - the bathrooms were like a hotel bathroom standard!
For me, both the property and location was pure heaven. Yes, you have to walk a bit to get to the beach but that was part of the adventure! Plus if it wasn't uphill like that, the view (particularly at dawn) would not have been so spectacular!! Truly a special place!
Very nice place in a beautiful surrounding, with a great view.
Friendly owners and very clean facilities!
We had a good stay.
This is one place where the great website pictures actually don't do it justice. The ambience just has to be experienced. The great cabins (stunning views) set among dense manuka were close to showers etc but private and the shared kitchen must have the best view anywhere. Everything you need was there and spotlessly clean. Totally recommend for the ideal base to explore golden bay. Ideal location close enough to collingwood and short drive to mussel inn. We will be going back. One of the best.
