A beautiful, spacious mountain retreat with stunning views of the entire town of Pine and the Matazal Mountains to the south. Completed in 2007, this 2,350 sq/ft home has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and a full kitchen including, a microwave, dishwasher, pantry, and double ovens.
There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs, as well as the kitchen, dining area, and family room. In addition, downstairs, there is a second master suite with a queen bedroom set and a sofa bed couch and an ensuite bath with a stall shower. There is also a full laundry room including a mud room accessible from the garage downstairs. The garage is 1,000 sq/ft and is attached with parking for one car. The garage doors are 10 feet high so they can accommodate a large truck.
There are four TVs in total with DISH network. The master suite has an ensuite bath and an arcadia door that accesses the wrap around deck. The master also includes a large flat panel TV with a DVD player. There is a large, stone-faced wood-burning fireplace in the family room upstairs. The kitchen and family room are open concept with comfortable seating, a leather couch and two leather recliners, a dining table that seats 8 and a pub table that can expand to seat an additional 4. The pub table also doubles as a puzzle table and is in front of the floor to ceiling chalet windows that capture the amazing views.
The cabin is situated on a 1.5 acre terraced, hillside lot in a small subdivision of custom homesites called Pine Mountain Acres. The neighborhood consists of approximately 40 homes on 1+ acre lots. It is a mix of full-time residents and weekenders. The property is located above Pine Creek and looks down on White Oaks Glen. It is an area that is traversed by deer and elk on their way to and from the creek. Large and small herds in the area come right across the property in the morning and late afternoon/dusk.
I am an Arizona native and I grew up in the valley and in Pine. My parents built a cabin in Pine in 1980 that we enjoyed on the weekends and holidays with friends and family. I have many wonderful memories of perfect springs, fabulous summers, colorful autumns and beautiful snow covered Thanksgivings and Christmas'. We built this house on a hillside in the northeast corner of Pine in 2007 and have enjoyed it ever since. Pine is still the same small town I remember. The views are spectacular from every window and the wildlife is amazing. You can do as much as you want or nothing at all! It's all about how you define vacation time.
Elana Nager owner/property manager purchased this cabin in 2007
Our home provides you everything needed to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. We built it to enjoy it with our friends and family and we know you will too!!
The house is perfect for couples and families. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. The kitchen has double ovens, a microwave, dishwasher, disposal and large refrigerator. There is a large stone fireplace in the family room with floor to ceiling chalet windows, comfy couches and recliners. A wrap around deck to enjoy to the views and wildlife. Enjoy the peace and quiet.
This Amazing Home in the Pines was Incredible.....We had a fabulous stay celebrating Thanksgiving and our daughter's 50th Birthday. The house is perched in the "Heavens", the views are Incredible from the house and from the wrap around deck! We had three families and everyone had their own area!!! Loved having coffee on the deck just waiting for the elk to happen by, which they did.....Saw them all 4 morning we were there. Huge thanks to Elana, she was so wonderful to work with. Highly recommend this Gem!
My family and I recently staid at the Hillside Cabin for the weekend and would like to give it an amazing review. It was as better then the description and we extremely comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. The views are truly spectacular and a light dusting of snow made it even more beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get out of the city and relax in the cool pines!
The hillside cabin in Pine, AZ was a great getaway location for our group. Elana was a wonderful host. The views are one of the best in the area, and the cabin was fully furnished with modern appliances and conveniences.
We enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again in the future!
We had a special event at this lovely property. Everything was as described, but better. If you get a chance to stay here, do it!
Spacious and excellent amenities for all family members. The View was amazing. It's about two hours from Phoenix and a very easy drive.
We were extremely impressed by this beautiful house with a majestic view from the hillside. The place was very clean and well organized. It was very close to local restaurants and shops. The cold weather and roaming wildlife just added to this getaway ambiance. Our family loved the stay and we would love to return in the near future.
Enjoy a variety of activities in and around the Pine/Payson/Strawberry area of the Mogollon Rim. The weather is perfect this time of year. Hiking, fishing, sightseeing, antiquing, all available. Sledding (winter) and horseback riding (summer) are also available. Watch the wildlife (deer & elk) pass through the property on their way to the creek. Visit Tonto Natural Bridge (the world's largest travertine bridge), Fossil Creek, the Llama farm and Woods Canyon Lake. Enjoy several restaurants and artisan cheeses, chocolates, jellies and honey from local shops.
