Everything about this apartment was what we had hoped for and more. It was in perfect condition and amazingly well equipped. Rockport is a lovely town and the location of the apartment could not be better. We stayed for nearly two months and hope to go back. The owners were helpful in all respects and seemed to have thought of everything.
What a perfect place to have a honeymoon. Wonderful views, characteristic property with quality amenities. Linen through to decor was elegant but enough personal touches to be a home away from home.
Great central location a stones throw from the beach. The waves could be heard in the apartment and we enjoyed each sun rise view over the Atlantic. We were a short walk to the Sandy bay Yacht club, and a mi ute to a lovely book store. The weekly farmers market is ashore walk too.
We would highly recommend this property and will certainly be back again.
We had a wonderful weeks vacation at the Parkers condo the bed was comfortable and .The location is great and you have a nice view of the beach from the living room ,Dishes glassware towels hairdryer washer and dryer all contribute to make it a a very comfortable stay.
Rockport is a wonderful place to visit very nice little town with lots of neat stores and art galleries beautiful beach.
First, I will state that nothing was mis-stated in the ad, the location was close to everything and walkable. When walking in, we noticed sand/dirt under our feet and thought it must have somehow been us. However, putting away our things, we realized that the 'fridge hadn't been cleaned, the oven and stovetop were dirty, dirty socks were in the drawer under the bed and used tampons in the bath. The towels were musty and damp-smelling but the biggest surprise was when I realized the pillow in the case was brown. A trip to the grocery for detergent was made to wash all the sheets/towels and alleviated the smells but when the bed was stripped, no mattress cover was there to cover up the stains, gross. The owner seemed nice but his response was "We live in Texas and have to depend on 'good faith' that our cleaners meet our standards"..."so sorry". Obviously the cleaners never came. I've never had to clean a rental when I got there. Since we arrived on a Sunday in August we had to park 1.3 miles away in the town lot and take a bus back, so you really can't use your car on the weekend as you'll lose your space nearby on the hill.
This condo is nicely designed and well appointed. We like to cook some meals even while on vacation and we had everything we needed.
The substantial drawers under the bed and multitude of hooks gave us lots of storage for our "stuff" which is always nice in a small place.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent - Two big pluses in my book.
The best thing about this property however is the location. The ocean view is beautiful out the front windows, yet you also have a street scene of a great small town. We had no problem with street noise at all and loved being able to walk out and about town with ease.
Free parking was available just up the hill from the condo - although it might be more difficult in July/August.
There are so many great places to walk around Rockport plus many shops and artists studios to visit in town. Taking the train into Salem and Boston is easy and very inexpensive. A walk around the Halibut Point State Park is also worth the trip.
Wonderful week - of course perfect weather and a rare lunar eclipse thrown in didn't hurt.
This was the perfect rental for our needs. We had a great time and enjoyed the view of the ocean and easy access to everything in downtown Rockport. The unit has been modernized and contained everything we needed. We hope to return and recommend this property for a relaxing vacation.
