Do not stay here.

I booked this property from 27/12/21 to 02/01/2022. Unfortunately, I had to leave the apartment on New Year's Eve after the air-conditioning unit above the bed started spewing out black chuncks of dirt/frozen condensation all over me (It probably has not been cleaned in YEARS). The unit was absolutely disgusting. The dust ruffle around the bed was stained with what looked like dry blood, covered in dirt. The walls were dirty and looked like they had not been wiped down/painted in years. The window was caked with black grime and may have been black mold, although I cannot confirm this. The main light fixture was filled with dead bugs and a few appeared to be cockraoches. The shower curtain gross. The owner covered the couch with what looked like a dirty rug, which was hiding multiple tears in the cushion. I think you get the point. Now, the owner is going to say that I should have said something earlier in the stay, but to be honest, I was willing to tolerate the lack of cleanliness (as I spent most of my time out of the unit/have stayed in worse/and was only going to be there for a week) until the air conditioner incident. But this does not excuse his negligence. After the air conditioner shot dirt/possible mold at me, I realized I had been breathing in all those nasty contaminates, I got the hell out of there. The owner stated that I should have informed him of the issues before I left so that he could address them, but quite frankly, nothing could keep me in that apartment except for a total gutting of the place. The pictures are NOT an accurate representation of the condition of the unit and the owner is either absolutely clueless or just doesn't care about the health of the people who stay in his place. I sent multiple pictures to VRBO and, of course, they denied having any responsibility for the unit and said they are only "advertisers". I requested a refund for my stay and received no response from the owner. Avoid at all costs.
