River's Bend Cabin, in the heart of the White Mountains, is the perfect vacation destination for any season. Our newly renovated, cozy log cabin is situated on a secluded, 2+ acre wooded lot, with a spectacular view of the Ammonoosuc River, a private stair down to the water, and a firepit ready for your family's enjoyment. At the midway point between Franconia Notch and Crawford Notch, just outside the border of the White Mountain National Forest, the Cabin is minutes from the best skiing, boarding, hiking, biking, and outdoor activities the region has to offer. Access to swimming , fishing, river tubing, and gold panning is just outside the door, and the Twin Mountain Connector Snowmobile trail is at the end of the driveway. A short scenic drive in any direction will bring you to other favorite area activities from shopping or antiquing to a ride on the Cog or Conway Scenic Railway. We are an easy drive from Storyland & Santa's Village. A visit to the historic Mt. Washington Hotel for dinner or a drink is a must for history buffs and spa enthusiasts alike!
The open floor-plan, rustic, Cabin features all new furniture, a newly renovated 4 season porch with fabulous river views, and a 3 season porch for all of your gear. A basement family room was completed in Summer 2014. There is plenty of space to spread out and relax during your stay, whether you want to sit in front of the woodstove in the living room, enjoy the view from the porch, listen to the sound of the river by the fire pit, or read in the hammock. Each bedroom and the loft have been thoughtfully furnished and sleeps 10 comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped, the grill is always ready, so come and enjoy any season at our White Mountain getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, large, and clean cabin. Since it was recently renovated everything seemed so new. We liked having a mud room, and the back porch with river view was just fantastic. It was a warm winter day when we got there and we enjoyed watching the large chunks of ice float down the river. The beds were very comfortable and bedrooms were large. The cabin was in a great location not far from Bretton Woods. We also liked being able to walk to Munroes, our favorite area restaurant. I highly recommend this cabin!
Great location, house had a great layout, its close to numerous activities and it was very clean and well stocked. Owner was responsive, accommodating and readily available for questions. Some recommendations to make this a 5 star rating would be to tighten up the bunk beds (because they are very squeaky as mentioned in another post), add a set of measuring cups for the kitchen, replace the towels as they are thinning and replace the couch in the main living area because it was uncomfortable and has seen better days.
Our family had a great time! The House was perfect for what we needed. It was very clean, the beds were comfy, plenty of room, & stalked with cooking/kitchen supplies. The river was really cool to watch as well. The only thing we had a problem with was the bunk beds were very squeaky. My kids had a hard time sleeping because as soon as one moved it woke another up. We ended up putting top bunk mattress on the floor. Other than that it was beautiful!!!!!! We definitely would stay again.
What a wonderful home in an excellent location!! We (three couples plus one younger brother) celebrated New Years weekend at the Rivers Bend cabin and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. Christina was welcoming and available throughout our stay. The home was spacious with a well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, crock pot, spices, etc), the beds were extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of room to spread out when you have many bags filled with ski/winter gear. The weather was frigid, so we were only able to ski one day, but thankfully Rivers Bend cabin allowed us to spend time together in a relaxing environment despite the missed ski experience. Would absolutely recommend to a friend, and hope that we can rent again!
Our family had a wonderful stay at the Rivers Bend cabin. The house ws very clean, it was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We loved eating all of our meals outdoors, making a fire ( and roasting marshmellows) in the fire pit and even swimming and tubing in the river! The location was great- close to all the gorgeous New Hampshire destinations and attractions, but quiet and tranquil with lots of privacy.
The cabin was just beautiful and spotlessly clean. We loved the privacy and sitting watching the river and crows. It was also conveniently located, we traveled to Franconia Notch, Sugar Hill, Crawford Notch, Mount Washington, and many other places and it didn't feel like too long a drive to get from place to place.
