About this property

Sand beach from patio edge to shoreline, mountain views, beach bonfires!

Pine Beach Camp in the Adirondack Park of New York sits on one of the most exclusive sand beaches in the Champlain Valley. The quarter mile beach is bounded by the mouth of the Ausable River to the North and a cliff to the South and is only accessible by a private gravel road. The lake bottom is sandy and most residents walk around and enter the water with bare feet. Boats can be moored offshore within walking distance or pulled up on the beach. There is plenty to see and do from this location. Float a kayak, paddle board or row boat out on the lake or up the lazy Ausable River, go swimming, fishing or just relax on the patio or beach. At night, sit around a campfire on the beach and roast marshmallows. The location is also a perfect base from which to explore the ruggedly beautiful Adirondack Mountains. Lake Placid, site of the 1980 Olympic Games and in the heart of the Adirondacks is 39 miles away. Downtown Burlington, VT is a 1 hour ferry ride from Port Kent, NY (ferry accepts cars). From Burlington, the most scenic vistas Vermont has to offer are only a short drive away. The Amtrack Train station in Port Kent also provides access to and from Penn Station in NY as well as Montreal. Three public golf courses are located with in 8 miles with the nearest course within 3 miles. Ausable Chasm, a popular tourist attraction is only 3 miles distance.

The camp is well equipped and includes a washer and dryer.

Kourmonts, seagulls and geese, oh my
This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed on vacation. We most definitely will be back probably around May. Karol was amazing. She first of all had to help us find the place way back off the road. Then then she gave us all kinds of ideas as to where to go for sightseeing. We had an amazing time. She was very patient and accommodating. She was ready to help whenever we needed it. We highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway and beautiful scenery.

Relaxing mini-vacation at camp
This camp was wonderful. It was so easy to pack and get away- the owners have thought of so many details and there is so much available here to use! The water is not drinkable, but the host supplies bottled water, which we appreciated tremendously (we have stayed at places before where we must bring our own and it is so burdensome). The location is amazing, with lake access, and incredible views of the mountains. We enjoyed watching the trains go by and the geese flying South. So easy to just relax and enjoy! We hope to go back.

Beach getaway
Wonderful stay with lots to do. Place comes well equipped for biking, kayak paddling, paddle boarding and even has the life jackets and bike helmets. Gracious host met us on arrival and updated us on activities available and general info of what’s in the area. The views of the green mountains and Lake Champlain never got old.
