This is a newly reconstructed 220 sqm (2444 sqft) loft apartment in the first floor of a historical company building. It has 4 bedrooms and a 120 sqm (1333 sqft) open living space with fireplace an integrated kitchen area. The loft is located in Tiergarten a sub district of Berlin-Mitte in the city centre of Berlin, not far away from the Parliament building and Ministry of State. The building is situated in a quite green courtyard. The apartment is equipped with a free high-speed internet network, cordless phones, satellite TV, DVD, Stereo system and many other useful electrical appliances. In the late 60's this building got a lot of publicity because the people of the so called “Kommune 1” who revolted against the establishment stayed in this building. The “Kommune 1” stands for the liberation of sex much like the Hippy movement in the United States. Some of the famous tenants are Fritz Teufel, Dieter Kunzelmann, Rainer Langhans and Ulrich Enzensberger.

The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed.

The apartment was huge, clean, and very well kitted-out. The landlord was very helpful and friendly when we checked in and throughout our stay. The only slight downsides for us were that the second bathroom was through the public hallway and was very cold, and that the curtains in the bedrooms didn't really block out any light, so there was no chance of sleeping in. However, these features may well not bother other guests. All in all a great place to stay!

Beautiful loft in a quiet location

Lovely and interesting location, not too far away from all the main tourist destinations in Berlin. Fantastic vegan cafe 5 mins walk away and easy to get to the U-bahn. Really stylish and comfortable inside and there was plenty of space and facilities for all of us. Would stay again!

Brilliant apartment, brilliant location! Perfect!

6 of my family visited the superb city of Berlin for 9 nights arriving on 4 July. The loft apartment was just brilliant, spacious, spotlessly clean and in easy walking distance of Ubahn, buses, shops and restaurants. This was my 3rd visit to Berlin and when I book my 4th, I'll certainly be using Berlin Lofts for our accommodation. The loft was just fantastic and I would highly recommend this to anybody visiting the superb city of Berlin. James Moonie

Beautiful and peaceful loft apartment

The apartment is located in a courtyard set back from the main road and decorated externally with magical fairy lights. Inside it is comfortable, well equipped and stylishly decorated. We are a family with four teenage kids and it suited us very well with a great communal space but also enough individual rooms for quiet time. We will definitely stay again if and when we return to Berlin.

Stay at Stephanstrasse 60, 10559 Berlin

I was part of a group of 9 friends staying in the apartment whilst visiting Berlin for the World Athletic Championships 2009. The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. When we arrived the owner was very helpful and was on hand to show us round the property. The apartment was also ideally situated within 5mins walking distance of the nearest tube station. I would definately recommend this apartment to friends and would not hesitate to stay in the apartment again should I re-visit Berlin.

The apartment is located in the north of the Tiergarten Park close to the Fritz-Schloss Park in the city centre. The main train station is 1,5 miles away from there starts the political city centre around the Reichstag building. There are very good public traffic connections and short distances to the historical and cultural city centre. Metro and train and bus stations are in walking distance. The apartment is also not far away from inner city airport Tegel and circular highway.
