REVIEW:

May 2015 "An excellent location! The primary purpose of our trip was tourism, and this apartment offered a great location from which to see all the sights. Close to Dupont Circle metro, which made getting around the city a breeze. The apartment itself was impeccably clean, spacious and well-equipped. Having a fully equipped kitchen, along with ironing board, iron, laundry facilities was great. The area is very quiet at night, while still being walking distance to bars/restaurants/etc. Also very easy walking distance to Georgetown, which was a huge bonus. Lastly, the apartment was close to Rock Creek Park trails, and an early morning run along the waterfront down to the Kennedy Center/Lincoln Memorial was phenomenal. The ease of access, with easy-to-use (and change) key codes instead of keys was great. There were frequent e-mails ahead of our visit, with guides to the neighborhood and other essential details. All in all, an impeccably well organized and helpful host with a beautiful apartment in a great location. We would highly recommend to any visitors, and if I'm coming back in the near future, would definitely stay there again. 5+ stars!"

Our latest addition are vacation properties for Washingtonians. See the Washington Vacations section on our website for homes in the nearby mountains. Take a few days away from the bustle of the city to explore our bucolic countryside little changed over the past 2 to 3 centuries. Visit wineries and orchards, significant Civil War battlefields and historic towns, hike the Appalachian Trail or follow in the footsteps of our founding fathers by visiting their homes. There is plenty to do that beckons you to leave the city for a weekend or a week.

A bit about me...I am a former Californian who, after 12 years in DC, is now an honorary Washington native. Being well traveled both domestically and internationally has given me a great appreciation for the enrichment contact with others brings to our experience. I am well-versed on the 'must-see' sights, monuments and museums of our culturally rich city, along with the unique experiences your find only in Washington. We share that insight with our guests in our property Welcome Guides which we send upon confirmation.

We very much enjoy hosting visitors to our Nation's Capital and ensuring that they are able to make the most of their visit.

Why Charlotte Perry chose Washington DC

DuPont Circle - one of the most interesting and eclectic neighborhoods on the Eastern-seaboard!

From Washingtonian Magazine:

'DuPont Circle sits in the heart of DC, where Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut avenues come together in Northwest DC. The neighborhood surrounding the circle has many charms—the beautiful rowhouses on P and Q streets to the east, the lively bars on Connecticut Avenue to the south, and the impressive embassies to the north along Massachusetts Avenue. Inside the famed circle itself, old men who have occupied the same chess tables for decades join musicians, tourists, and neighborhood residents walking their dogs, eating picnic lunches, or relaxing under the leafy trees.'

Reviewer Comments:

The unit was very clean and very cute. But quite small. The bed is a double and there is very little closet space. It was perfect for 2 people (willing to share a small bed) for a long weekend. And the location was second to none. Getting in and out of the building was a little challenging as the keyless entry was rather finnicky. Although the patio was really nice, it was tough to access -- out the front door of the building, around to the alley and through the back gate of the building. They did not accommodate early check in or late check out but a neighboring Hilton stored our bags.

Reviewer Comments:

We had a great stay at this apartment. Location is fantastic, close to Metro and shopping. Living room/kitchen is very comfortable and has all you would need for a stay. Only down sides are bedroom is quite small, and noise from facility across the street was sort of loud. All in all a great stay though.

Reviewer Comments:

This place is incredible in many ways. First, location, second, very well maintained and third, professional management company. We stayed a week in this centrally located apartment. Close to the Metro, grocery store, Starbucks, CVS. This was my first time to DC and the accommodations added to the really great experience! I will be back to DC and will definitely stay in the same place. I highly recommend this building which has 4 rental units. Very quiet building and safe neighborhood.

Reviewer Comments:

This was a quiet haven well situated in a great at location in DC. The nearest metro station at Dupont Circle was only 5 minutes walk away, and there were plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. The apartment was reasonably well equipped, although as tea drinkers, we would have appreciated a jug or kettle! The apartment is up a fairly steep flight of stairs - so be prepared for that.

Reviewer Comments:

The apartment was exactly what we wanted it to be. It was small, charming and very comfy. The place was clean and the management company overseeing the property really prepared it for our arrival. The only disappointment we experienced was the wifi connection that was included in the package. We had issues connecting to the wifi on our laptop and their attempts to address the issue was mediocre. They tried fixing the issue remotely with several texts and phone calls, but for the price we paid we expected at least a person to person visit with them. Even if they couldn't resolve the issue in person...the fact that they went above and beyond to come and help would have sufficed. We simply gave up on the matter and continued our vacation. I would still give my experience a 3 stars because everything else perfect.

Map

DuPont Circle is arguably one of the most eclectic and interesting neighborhoods on the Eastern seaboard. Known for its energetic and aesthetic appeal, the neighborhood (and adjourning areas) is packed with restaurants, cafes, galleries, boutiques and coffee houses. Historic row houses line many of the streets and the and the area is best described as 'old meets new' creating an environment where guests have easy access to the traditional sites and sounds of DC (The National Mall, museums, etc) while also indulging in a neighborhood that has become an attraction unto itself.

Come experience DC in a way simply not possible with a hotel stay!
