Our family has been enjoying the Northwoods for several generations as renters and 10 years ago we decided to purchase our own place. We love the St. Germain area as it's a smaller community conveniently located between the two larger towns of Minocqua and Eagle River. Dam Lake is part of the 5 lake Sugar Camp chain, where water activities and fishing are outstanding. Watching the deer and other wildlife are our favorite part of the Northwoods as the sun starts to set over the lake. Relaxing with family and friends couldn't be more enjoyable in the Northwood's setting.
We fell in love with this property upon sight for many reasons. We enjoy owning an original log cabin that conveys a simpler time and once inside the Great Room with its phenomenal fireplace, we were sold! The lot is private and has ample space for activities, and the lakefront with its southern exposure was icing on the cake.
In addition to the Great Room, the cabin has a very large kitchen area and a lovely enclosed porch, just another location to relax and read a good book or watch the lake, the deer and the sunset to the west. Perfect for us! And we think you'll love it too. Our local property managers, Tony and Arlyce Farrow, are just right around the corner to take care of your needs. As renters over all the years, we've been very impressed with their prompt response and customer service.
We had another nice stay at your cabin this year. The weather was good, and fishing also pretty good. We watched two eagles land in the tree's above the dock early every morning. The cabin was clean and well appointed and nice new showers! Thank you.
We loved our stay here for our family of 6 . House was very clean, abundant supplies, and plenty of room. Everything just as described. Tony and Arlyce were wonderful and available if help needed. We made use of the kayaks, canoe, campfire, and lake raft. Property is spacious and private. We were worried that resort across lake would be noisy but we hardly knew it was there. We will definitely come back again. Would recommend for family , 2-3 couples, or ladies get-away trip of up to 7+.
We had a great time exploring the character and features of this old cabin. We enjoyed watching the wildlife including lots of deer and loons on the lake. Fishing was also good. Enjoyed our stay, thank you!
Had a great time, enjoyed the unique cabin and the outdoor wildlife. Eagle landed in the tree near the beach daily and plenty of deer! Cabin was clean and well equipped. Thanks!
This is what a Northwoods vacation is all about – a beautiful log cabin, on a fantastic lake, on an even more lovely piece of property!! We were fortunate to find this new rental property for a winter trip, and it had all charm we were anticipating from a rustic log cabin experience – plus it has extremely easy access to the snowmobile paths. The family room and kitchen are huge, with more than enough room for our group to sprawl about. The sunroom/porch off the front of the cabin provided a wonderful secluded view to the lake – if it looks this great in winter, it’s got to be fabulous in the summer! We watched lots of wildlife in the yard – many, many deer were daily visitors and feasted on the corn we left outside. The wooded yard is so big and private with a perfect open area by the house for the kids to safely play. We love what the new owners have done to the kitchen and bathrooms, as they have upgraded these essential areas while still retaining the cabin’s charm. The kitchen was fully equipped, as I think the owners also stay here often. The bedrooms provided plenty of room and options for sleeping and storing our belongings. Dam Lake and its chain of lakes has always been a favorite location of ours – it’s big, open, deep, and great for swimming and boating. And from past experience, I know this location has a nice sandy non-weedy shoreline – as it’s located close to my favorite fishing spot where I’ve hooked many a fish, including my first musky! And perhaps just as important – we were just a quick snowmobile ride to Pitliks, our favorite restaurant, for drinks and dinner! I can’t wait for summer when we can boat ride over for their awesome Bloody Mary's. Thanks again for the use of your place – it’s lovely and we had a great time and can’t wait to return for our summer time reservation!
