Close to beach but super dirty

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in this house August 2023. The walk to the beach was great. Much closer than we anticipated, which was wonderful with kids. The decor was cute and beachy and the carpets looked relatively new. The kitchen was well stocked with essential tools. One suggestion would be to maybe put a couch or more chairs down on the ground floor where the pool table is as it seemed to be a hangout area. Another suggestion would be to put a keypad code access on the door and get rid of physical keys. The additional step of making a special trip to the rental company to get a key and then drop it off would be eliminated. Something that was odd was that several of the lights didn’t work at first try but turned out bulbs were unscrewed. Some lights were either broken or needed bulbs replaced. I guess the biggest complaints would be with the housekeeping service. When we first came in there was a dirty plate with gnats on it at the table in the ground floor and you could tell the table was sticky and hadn’t been wiped. There were dead bug remnants on the wall where they had been smashed but not wiped down. We expected to have to put sheets on the bed but all the comforters and pillows were laying in piles on the floor. We were also short a comforter. Some of the bathrooms were not well kept and needed a good cleaning. Many had gnats in there while taking a shower. But the worst part were the multiple cockroaches we saw throughout our stay. It is so gross to find them crawling under the beds and in the areas where the kids hang out.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There was couple maintenance issues. Bed was broken in one bedroom and dishwasher handle was not working properly upon check in day. But they used my damage waiver because it was during my stay. Even though the damage was done before my stay. I did not agree with it. Never got any discount or refund for the inconvenience. I would only recommend for the location. Easy beach access.

Close and Convenient

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group (2 families with children) really enjoyed the house. There was plenty of space to spread out and the beach was very close. You do have to go up a pretty steep sand path to get to the beach, so just be prepared for that, but being right acress the street is great. The pool is also wonderful, but because of the fencing, there is no real space on the patio and no shade at all. It could really be opened up a bit and some shade added, particularly if you have young kids in your group. Overall, the property seemed well maintained, bedrooms were nice, etc. I would stay again.
