Lovely house in tranquil setting
The house is really charming with everything you could need - including a washer & dryer. Beds were comfy, decking was great and the local deer were an added bonus. Southwest Harbor itself is fairly small though so if you're looking lots of shops, bars & restaurants then Bar Harbor is better. But we like nice, quiet places and the local walks (Ship Harbor trail & Wonderland) were stunning. A 30 mins drive takes you to Cadillac mountain and all the amazing scenery Acadia has to offer. We absolutely loved our stay in this house & Maria was really helpful & quick to respond through the whole process. Definitely recommend

Nice break after being on the road
Enjoyed having this comfortable, quiet home where we could relax and do laundry after several days on the road. Was a great, quiet location from which to explore the island and Acadia National Park. Would stay here again.

Quiet refuge on MDI
Great house on the quiet side of MDI. We were there over a holiday weekend in October and Bar Harbor was jumping. But over in SW Harbor, all was serence. This house is a great base to explore all around MDI.

Perfect Fit
Property was great for our small group and had great access to Acadia Park. Southwest Harbor had everything we needed and able to avoid the higher prices and traffic headaches of Bar Harbor.
