Fully Furnished 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath Open Concept Design With Separate Entrance

When you arrive you are welcomed with our welcoming basket providing goodies and a bottle of wine. Also included is the property manual and brochures with suggestions of what to do during your visit.

Our property is in a very clean and newly constructed house in the highly desirable area of North Admiral in West Seattle. It has an open floor concept with a fully stocked kitchen, a dining area and a furnished living room. The couch can be positioned as queen bed for extra sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is equipped with a blender, slow cooker, toaster, coffee maker, spices, condiments. Everything you could need.

The apartment has its own private entrance with a seating area outside. It's got heated concrete floors throughout the apartment and a laundry room with iron, ironing board and drying rack. There is a 4 x 7 storage room with extra linens, towels, extra storage for food and/or clothes.

There's a quaint outdoor seating area offered for your enjoyment as well as a bike rack to hang up to 3 bikes. We are open to sharing our gas grill on our back porch.

There is off street parking, but not a hassle. I always find parking on the street right in front of our house.

The rent includes all utilities, wi-fi and cable. Basic cable provided, additional cost for pay per view movies.

We are conveniently located near grocery stores (Metropolitan Market, Safeway and PCC), bus stops, gas stations, banks, dry cleaners, Bartell Drugs store, library, an old movie theater, as well as a variety of restaurants, stores, spas, and coffee

About Kelly Ubaldi

Peter and I purchased this 1901 house in 2006 right before he proposed to me. We are the 3rd owners and lived in it for 3 years before we remodeled it. While opening walls we realized we needed to sadly tear down and start over. We tore down in 2009 and moved back in (into the basement apartment/flat) by 2010. We kept all we could and built this beautiful home to what it is today.

We are very social and love to meet new people. So we decided to rent out the basement to vacationers knowing there are not many places to stay while visiting West Seattle.

We have two boys, Enzo 3 and Diezl 3 months, whom you might hear running around. They are the best gifts we could have ever asked for.

We do live up stairs above the basement flat, but from what the people in the past have told us you can't really hear us, but Enzo's feet when he runs. He's not active in the mornings until about 9am. :)

We hope you choose our cozy place to stay and have a wonderfully relaxing time.

Why Kelly Ubaldi chose West Seattle

This neighborhood sold us. The walkability, the neighbors, the easy access to downtown, etc. I've lived in many districts in the Seattle area since 1998 and fell in love with West Seattle; more over the Admiral District of West Seattle. It has an extremely friendly atmosphere with so many places to walk to that I barely drive my car.

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with this house for its original charm and it's lot space knowing we wanted to have children. We adore Craftsman Style houses so we were very savvy in keeping that old Craftsman Style look. Many think it's still older that it truly is.

Perfect location, really nice rental!

My family really enjoyed this rental! It's in a fantastic location for exploring Seattle, and the owners were very accommodating. We were coming in late with two small children, and Kelly was so sweet to set up the couch bed for our little ones, and also provide some toys and a bouncer for our baby. The apartment itself is really well outfitted, the kitchen has all you'd need to prepare meals, including spices, condiments and the like. They left us a bottle of wine and some local craftsman beer in the fridge- all really nice touches! I've already recommended this place to family and friends!

Great basement apartment!

Honestly, I could totally live here. The LR is set up with a couch that you can sleep on (although it's not the most comfortable thing in the world) and TV. There is tons of literature about things to do in the area and a bunch of snacks left out! So welcomed after busy days. The bedroom is roomy and has a big closet. It was great having the windows over the bed to open up. The bed was super comfy. The kitchen was stocked VERY well. Make sure to look around and take stock of what is already there before you take a trip to the store. We may have bought things we didn't really need because it was already provided! Kelly was helpful and answered questions almost immediately when we had them. We used the washer and dryer and they worked great. The location is great and is in a very neat neighborhood with plenty to walk to for food and entertainment. We walked to the water taxi, but there's also a shuttle that will take you to and from for free. And what a great deal and a a great way to avoid the traffic and parking in downtown Seattle. I can't say enough about the water taxi. The only negative thing I would say is that if you want to sleep in and are a light sleeper this might not be the best place. It was perfect for us because we have a three year old and were up pretty early. There is a kiddo upstairs with a set of lungs that we are not used to. Like I said, it didn't bother us, but might bother people who are more sensitive to that. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. My daughter couldn't wait to come back to our Seattle home every day.

Great place walking distance to your needs.

The basement was a great place to stay, it meet all our needs and Kelly and Peter were great hosts. You are in walking distance to anything you would need and it is located in a nice neighborhood. I would recommend this to anyone it is decorated very cute.

Excellent option for staying in Seattle

We stayed here for 4 nights. Kelly makes obvious effort to make a stay in her home a very positive experience. She puts thought into small things that make it easy and accommodating. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom has lots of supplies and there are lots of extra linens and towels. She tries to provide lots of information about Seattle and is open to questions. As a basement apartment there isn't a ton of natural light but there was a heat wave during our stay in early June and the apartment was lovely and cool. The location is excellent, with restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. I traveled each day to downtown and it was easy to get in and out on public transit and one morning on the water taxi was just fun. About a 20 minute ride on the bus. Public transit is reduced on weekends so we had to pay attention but it was still easy.

Kelly's small children could be heard each morning upstairs talking and starting their day. My husband and I just smiled over our coffee and enjoyed the childish chatter. One day we sat outside in the small area available to basement residents and enjoyed watching Kelly's young sons at play. They are not overly loud but one is aware they are there. Kelly is clear about her requests which are all reasonable and understandable.

-Alki Beach is amazing to relax, play, beach comb or check out tide pools. They have some great restaurants too.

-Here in the Admiral District we have a variety of restaurants, bars and coffee shops in walkable distance

-The Alaska Junction also has a variety, which is just a 5 minute drive by car.

-Lincoln Park is just a 10 min drive and has wading pools, tennis courts, playing fields, hiking, biking, playgrounds. It also is on the beach where a salt water pool called Coleman Pool is right on the beach.

-Taking the Elliott Bay Ferry to downtown Seattle is a beautiful ride there and back.

-The Seattle Art Museum (SAM) always has incredible rotating exhibits

-Pike Place Market is our trade mark

-The Underground Tour is a fun tour with insight on how downtown Seattle was built. They will make you laugh.

-Check out our Aquarium, Zoo, Children's Museum, Science Center, Space Needle--they are all within 10-15 min from here

-There are whisky tours that are quite incredible
